I grew up not far from Betty the author and knew her in my younger life. Her and daughter’s story is cautionary tale for women who are controlling relationships.

The book is incredibly well written and very engrossing. The content is shocking and provides good insight into how women are treated in Iran.

Full of twists and turns. This book is amazing, I haven’t read a book this good in years.

It summed up and made us here in the sane world realise how easy it is to relinquish all rights in a country with such barbaric and inhuman customs.Hang on to your passport or at least have a photocopy hidden somewhere!
