Subterra 2 Tote

This tote is exactly what I was looking for: a laptop tote, with a zipper, a luggage pass-through strap, and spacious enough to carry a few extra things in it when I travel. I am very impressed by the quality and how light it is. My next international trip is in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to see how this bag performs.

I bought this bag in dark slate colour. The material of this bag is very sturdy. Perfect for travel or everyday. You can fit a lot of things such as 16”laptop, iPad /tablet, chargers, notebook, 16oz water bottle, skin care, makeup, some snacks, mobile, house keys and still a plenty of room . All of these are secured with zippers. I purchased this bag from Amazon and as expected , the service was prompt. Thank you team Amazon !! This bag is so impressive that I felt compelled to write a review, I genuinely believe this bag merits widespread sales. Thule has done it again👍

This is the perfect work bag that is durable and not a backpack. I despise backpacks. I have also tried every bag from basic to high end bags and none are as well organized as this one. I love the two way pocket for small things and the double padded laptop pocket. I can fit a MacBook Pro and a small portable monitor in the same pocket. I love the hidden side pocket for my wallet. Once I used this one, I donated all the others.

I needed a new work tote and this is awesome. It fits two laptops, an iPad, chargers, phone, lunch, and a water bottle plus other random things. Holds up well to daily stains (I’ve had it a month) and feels great. I have no doubt that it will make an excellent travel bag during my next flight, too. Highly recommend (and this is from someone who is super picky about her totes).

I was trying to decide between this tote, a Bellroy Tokyo (too small), Adidas totes, Patagonia 20L (my fave and what I really wanted but they phased out all their totes), LL Bean canvas with zipper/monogram, peak designs, Dagne Dover, and MZ Wallace. It's been challenging finding a premium, minimalist, waterproof 20L bag!! What I am looking: ALL black, little to no external logos, with stiff padded nylon handles that don't slide off my puffer jacket coat shoulder, 1 or more inner zipper pockets, TWO OUTER water bottle pockets (bc my coffee thermos AND water bottles sometimes leak and I can't damage my macbook or paperwork), waterproof exterior, preferably really nice thick zipper and pull; easily wipeable, ripproof, a laptop sleeve, key chain hook, and zipper top. I travel and also like having luggage straps and like a carryon size. I was looking for higher quality materials, no cheap knockoff no name brands. The closest thing I found to this was a very old Patagonia tote bag until my dog chewed through the very nice handles overnight. I am willing to pay between $50-$250 for the perfect tote bag. I wear business casual (but minimalist, discreet logos, so no lazy duffel bags or thin unstructured shopping totes). I didn't know that it would be this hard to find a black tote bag with these specifications. I purchased 6 bags simultaneously from Amazon. Edit: After I used this bag for a bit, the bottom became noticeably dirty and when I tried to brush it off, the dirt went INTO the fabric. Also, I thought the shape was too puffy. There's no inner structure for this to sit straight up without a separate insert. So it slouches and looks like a mess. My 32oz insulated stainless water bottle doesn't fit the external water bottle pocket, so I started to dislike this bag even though it's 20L and should be big enough... What made me return this bag? The pass through should have a zipper at the bottom so that you can use that pouch day to day and open the zipper to pass through when traveling with rolling luggage. The zippers were confusing bc I could never tell which was the front or back of the bag so I was constantly turning this slouchy puffy messy looking bag around. Then when I opened a pocket, it was the pull through with no bottom. Ultimately, I thought this isn't worth it and I went on ebay and bought a used version of the Patagonia 20L bag that I loved for so many years. This Thule Subterra just wasn't "sharply" designed enough. It needs more articulation, just too obtuse.
