Very definition of cheap
After reading through the features it offered and looking at the pictures I thought, "Hey, this is exactly what Im looking for in a proper set of saddlebags for my bike!" And once I saw the low price I bought them right up. These things, ladies and gents, are a classic case of "If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is." Anybody has even the most rudimentary knowledge motorcycle gear, or even leather products in general, will spot the level of cheapass-ness of these things right off the bat.First of all, the description is very deceptive. It states these bags are "made of 100% leather, supported by sturdy PVC". What they fail to mention is that the ENTIRE BACK SIDE of the saddlebag is just one large, black colored pvc cutout, covered in absolutely zero leather. So yeah... while its true that any LEATHER that happens to be on the bag may be 100% real, 100% of the BAG ITSELF is not made of leather. I guess you could more accurately describe these bags as "75% genuine leather". 🤣As far as them being braided? Nope. Its just a braid glued onto the edges of the leather. Pretty sure the braid itself is synthetic material. The "heat protective strip" on the bottom? Nowhere to be found. The clips are the cheap kind where theyre literally just two widely spaced plastic claws with no middle piece between them to be pressed against when being squeezed - so if you squeeze even SLIGHTLY too hard when opening/closing your saddlebag and SNAP! Thats a broken clip. No more tightly closed lid. The "lock and key" security? It's tiny plastic locks, with a tiny plastic key. I mean.. WOW. The stitching holding the bag together isn't very sturdy either.I'm going to be one of the many, many people that will simply end up throwing them on my bike and hope they dont melt or fall apart whilst learning my lesson and saving up for some REAL saddlebags.Cheap, minimally constructed yet highly mass-produced toy saddlebags. Thats what these things are. They're like the grownup version of something youd get out of an egg machine, or a Dollar Tree action figure. Two thumbs down. Two fingers up.

Get beat the price and value
These bags are great. Leather and quality. I have a 2015 Harley Davidson Fatboy LO. The size fits perfectly. Not to big. You can't go wrong with them

Locking buckles with NO Key and Can't Contact Seller - Inspect the stitching carefully
Update 6/9/24 - Ended up returning the first set of bags due to bad stitching. The stitching on the bottom of one of the saddle bags was not locked in and a 4 inch section just pulled out. I suppose at some point the sewing machine ran out of thread on the back and they just kept stitching. I recommend inspecting the stitching thoroughly on both sides.Regarding the key issue - The buckle locks are simple cam locks. You can actually lock/unlock them with a screwdriver. One quarter turn to the right and they lock (horizontal) and one quarter turn to the left unlocks them (verticle). The whole lock turns. There are no pins and springs like a more traditional key lock. I was able to find two key blanks at my local home improvement store that had the correct grooves already cut. I just used a Dremel and cutting disk to cut them off, shape them a bit and clean up the edges. Made two keys in about ten minutes. You can still open the bags by simply undoing the buckles, but the locks give me a little piece of mind. Perhaps at some point I will stich the buckles down.Original Review - Purchased the 26L brown ones without studs for commuting to work on my 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 850 Centenario with the Givi Remove X quick detach saddle bag mounts. The bags fit the bike just fine and there are no issues clearing the factory exhaust. They do stick out a bit, but that's because of the Givi mounts. In the pics the bags are just tossed over the seat. These are made to a price point, but seem to be very good. The leather seems to be a very thin top grain that is spilt/shaved off and then glued to a man made fabric. No heat shields on mine, but don't need them. Solid bags. They are firm, hold their shape well and the brown closely matches the seat on my bike so they look good. Everything works as it should, the zippers have double Velcro strips (above and below) to secure the zippers in place. Each bag comes with 4 shoe strings to tie them on. I'll likely replace these with quick release straps. The yoke is adjustable for width by using the attached shoe string and holes. The holes in the yoke don't have any grommets so they will likely stretch over time. There is an internal flat pocket for small items near the top of each bag. For some reason they included two generic gun holsters, one in each bag that attach via a Velcro strip. My laptop, which measures 13" x 9" will only fit in the saddle bags without the slip cover on and I have to force it in diagonally. When I do this it forces the saddle bag into an awkward shape and the top cover and flap do not want to close properly. I can get everything closed with some effort, but it seems to put excessive pressure on the stitching so I'll avoid putting my laptop in these and use them for other things.1 - These look like they will leak in the rain so I use industrial strength 3 mil clear Ziplock bags (3 Gallon Size) as liners. They are cheap and work just fine to keep things dry. Plus, since they are clear, you can see the contents of each bag. Been doing this for years. There is no need to buy expensive dry bag liners unless you want to. These bags are available here on Amazon.2 - I am going to rub the outside down with Grasso, Urad or Sofe Sole Mink Oil to protect and preserve the leather. Same stuff that I use on my moto boots and outdoor leather. Also available here on Amazon.3 - The bags have locking plastic buckles, but no key was included with mine. I get it that they are plastic and easily broken if someone really wants to steal your belongings. Some customers are reporting getting a key with their bags and others are saying that they didn't get any key. This is just a poor QC issue and needs to be addressed. Why bother to use locking buckles, even if they are plastic, and not include a key?4 - Seller communications are NOT possible. I've tried to reach the seller about the above issue, but I just get caught in an Amazon loop and it's completely useless. Amazon doesn't let you contact the seller. It comes down to either returning or replacing the saddle bags. Not being able to communicate with the seller is a huge disappointment. I just want a key. Heck, I would even buy the keys if I knew which ones to buy. Anyway, I hope this helps someone.

Bags were shipped and received in great condition.
I have ridden with throw-over bags for over 40 years. These bags are a nice size, have great features and the distressed finish compliments my 21 year old bike. Will send a review later after I can see how they hold up to the Arizona sun…. The stitching and straight forward design also make them easy to put on and take off.

Low quality stitching
Overall build is nice for the money as we all know motorcycle saddlebags can be quite pricey. Unfortunately though the stitching that secures the tie down loops to the bag is pure crap. While installing the bags the loops that secure the bags to the side of the bike to prevent them from hitting the rear wheel and just be freely swinging all ripped without any excessive strain. Just glad it happened during install rather than when fully loaded and on a ride as the bags would’ve definitely hit my chain and brake rotor. To me this is one of the most important things on the bag to have a quality stitch and be durable.

Reason dissatisfied with product
Nice saddle bags. The description said distressed brown but the picture showed distressed black. You were not given any other option. Bought them because of the picture. Wanted distressed black.
