Good Replacement for the Hayward pool light. Which cost a $1000?
The pictures I put in show the hayward light which the new light fit well! You will see in the pictures the transformer which is very important to make sure you order the right one to match your transformer. Also I used The Wire Shrinkage kit for Connecting the old wire to the new one. So I could pull it through the conduit. It worked perfectly. I believe that may have been meant to be used for for cutting and splashing into The Wire. But I would not recommend doing that. The new wire should be pulled to the car into it.Also , as a conduit for your safety I believe that may have been meant to be used for for cutting and splashing into The Wire. But I would not recommend doing that. The new wire should be pulled through the conduit for your safety. The light works perfectly, but I've only had it for 2 weeks.

Good quality for the price
Product arrived quickly and was a direct replacement for the 22yr old fixture it's replacing. Pretty straight forward installation but the instruction manual that came with the unit isn't very user friendly. Lots of cool functions on this light but the remote is going to take some experimentation to figure out completely.

It works! This one's a winner!
This light is what I wanted the 1st two times I bought from Amazon, the 1st one and it's replacement were conical housing models that had a screw in bulb, very front heavy inside. I am thinking during shipment these bulbs come loose inside the housing. My new unit is a blunt back housing, makes winding extra cord a bit harder but unit is less front heavy. Easy installation as long as it is warm in the pool. brightness is as good as the 1200 dollar one it replaced!

Works just as good as the $1000.00
I've been putting off paying $1000.00 for the Haywood color logit replacement. Then I found this one on Amazon. I love having the Pool light working again. The installation was the same as the Haywood would be. It works just as good as the very expensive over priced Haywood. I'm a happy camper. The only take away is the remote is basically worthless unless you are standing over the light. But the Haywood didn't have a remote so no big deal. lets see how long this Led light lasts.

A great replacement for my old inefficient light
I am rather impressed with the overall quality of this pool light. I'm replacing a 30 year old Pac-Fab 61-8230, which is starting to show its age. This light is almost an exact replacement. The housing itself is thinner, due no doubt to the LED array. If you've never replaced one of these lights, it's a breeze. You just need a fish-tape that will reach from the light to the junction box. Be aware that if your light is located far from the switch, pool builders will run the cable to a separate junction box located closer to the light, and then from there to the switch. Look for remnants of an insulated power cord in the j-box. If you only see individual wires, start looking for another j-box. Once you've located it, just pull the cord out of the conduit from the pool end, and then insert the fish tape, pulling the new wire back to the box. That's all there is to it.This light comes with a remote to control on/off, brightness, and the different modes. Unfortunately, because the light is submerged, the range is somewhat limited. The listing states the use distance is "3 meters and 1 meter underground". I'm not sure what they mean by "underground", perhaps they mean "underwater". But I found the actual range to be better than that. Currently, the water is too cold to get in and install the light in the niche. . . it's sitting on a step just under the surface. With that, I'm seeing maybe 35 or 40 feet. We'll see, and I'll update the review when I get it set deeper underwater. Fortunately, when you switch the light on from your wall switch, it assumes the color/brightness that it had previously, so in many cases you won't need the remote. One minor annoyance. . . the remote doesn't come with a battery, and it doesn't take your regular AA/AAA cells either. It uses one A23 cell, which you probably don't have laying around. They're easily available on Amazon, $3.50 for a pair, but they really should have included one.I do have high praise for this companies customer service. I quickly received an answer to an email inquiry I had, and it was apparent to me that they fully stand behind their product.

Unbelievable!
Our Hayward light has been out of commission for months, and when this one became available, I was sure it was too good to be true... but it works! Our pool technician installed it, and wanted the info on where to get it (and of course cost and warranty info), so he could use it for his other customers! This saved us at least $5-700! What a deal. The quality seems to be the same. I'll update if there's any issue in the coming months, but it's worked great for 5 weeks now and we're thrilled! We did use a pool pro for installation but he said it was straightforward. Recommend!
