I couldn't love this more if I tried
First thing to note is that this does come with some emulators and a front-end installed, but you will need to source your own games. This is not a hard thing to do for people with some tech skills and an internet connected computer, but this is not something you hand out of the box to an ipad kid and expect them to be playing retro games. There's some tinkering involved with settings, but by and large it's nothing you'd need an IT degree for. Once you have the games loaded and the emulators configured, it's super easy to use, just be aware that there's going to be a few hours of setup, downloading roms, transferring, and tinkering.Once it's set up, this Android device has a LOT of power underneath the hood. I've been enjoying up through Wii and PS2 games on it, though the PS2 eats battery and gets the device warm. Note to anyone installing a screen protector, make sure you turn the fan up all the way when you emulate stronger systems. The CPU/GPU warming up cooked some of the adhesive on the very left edge of my screen protector, causing an air bubble to form. The actual device is fine, but if you have the fan set to quiet and push the retroid to its limits, it will generate a fair bit of heat. The good news is this device emulates everything without lag. Some ps2 games chunk a little from time to time, but most are extremely playable if not 100%. The screen is gorgeous and will have your retro games looking awesome, whether you're the type to enable shaders or pixel peep old games, and your upscaled 3d games will look nice and crisp as well. Game title obscured to circumvent any concerns, but you can play the second Deity of Conflict on this easily, as a point of reference.I highly recommend getting the comfort grip for this. It's a little boxy and tiny in my adult hands without. Totally usable without, but I can game for hours and hours with the grip.Oh and battery life! It's going to heavily depend on what you're doing. Emulating an 8 bit or 16 bit game? Battery is an absolute champion and will not budge. Doing some ps2/wii games? That battery indicator is gonna move at a steady pace. It's a fine battery life on the more intense games, but I probably would skew to older games if I was on a long plane ride.Notably because this is android based, it supports full fast charge, so if you have a good modern USB C quick charging adapter, this thing will top up in no time.

Love my retroid pocket 4 pro!
I’ve put in at least 50 hours of gameplay. I’m really impressed with the clear version I got. Learning how to run the emulators was new for me but there are plenty of helpful YouTube videos that will walk you through the process. (Retro game corp). And now I have a backlog of awesome retro games to play in my free time.If you don’t want to start emulating right away this works great as an android gaming device as well! The epic games store has a few free games available for download every other week that is totally worth checking out.Get it while you can you won’t be disappointed.

Great little gaming device, I would recommend to anyone interested in handheld emulators
I've been eyeballing these Retroid handhelds for several years now, Finally decided to pick one up. Glad I got the P4P over a P5, I like the style of the P4 a bit more. The teal looks great, just like you'd expect. Buttons, Hall effect joysticks, screen, case, everything about this device is very good quality for the price point they are at. I expect to be using my P4P for many years.Setup was fairly quick and simple, this is where more casual Gamers or Android users may have some issue issues setting up emulators but it's not hard and there are tons of videos and guides on how to get started. The P4P has done really well with everything I've played so far, With nearly native controller support & config in a surprising number of emulators.

RP4 goodness
Great little device for me to relive some of my greatest gaming moments with PS2 and Dreamcast emulation. Easy to setup and operate. Beware you need to know how to get and load your own roms because none are included.

An excellent handheld retro gaming device!
I ended up returning this item and returns was a breeze but only because Amazon doesn’t price match and it was a deal from the manufacturer. In hand it felt great and the perfect size with an excellent screen. The buttons were tactical and well placed with a descent ergonomic feel. Setup was a breeze and the screen protector and case is a must which this didn’t come with.Android 13 is a must when it comes to these retro gaming devices for me. It’s more of a phone with controls.

Beast of an Emulation device
The device was worth $200, I wish I could have gotten it when it was on sale.

Worth every penny
This thing is worth it's weight in gold. Having all the old games a loved as a kid all on one device is incredible. It plays ps2 basically flawlessly. A little cumbersome to set up, but there are tons of guides and once you get it set up it's excellent.

Fantastic little device
Bought on a whim for a trip. Love it. Great quality and solid little powerhouse. Can run basically every emulator I want. Haven’t played around with GeForce now and Moonlight yet, but plan on it. Does occasionally get hot, but not too often. Quality is incredible. The joysticks are so smooth.
