Excellent Ruler for Quilting
I have more than 20 different rulers and several this size (61/2 x 12). This is by far the best one I own. I was skeptical when I ordered it wondering if it was going to be easy to read. IT IS! The yellow markings really show up and are highlighted in the right places. The edge of your fabric under the ruler is clearly visible, so cutting and measuring can be precise. I've been using this ruler every day for a few weeks now and it definitely is my all-time favorite. So many of my rulers have yellow markings that are too small and too close together; just too much going on. As a result, I've made many mistakes have been made in cutting my fabric. Now I will see if they make them in other sizes.

Great!!!
I have lots of quilting rulers. Some with very specific purposes and others that would be considered all purpose rulers. However, when I saw the photo of this ruler, I saw something that my other rulers didn't have and that was large marks in yellow, to stand out from the black ones, at every half inch mark both vertical and horizontal. None of my other rulers have this. Some just have marks showing the 1/8" or 1/4" points. I do a lot of precuts when I have my own scraps and when I pick up scrap fabric at the thrift store. Most of my pre-cuts are 2 1/2" square, 4 1/2" squares, and 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles, 6 1/2" squares as well as making lots of blocks that are 8 1/2" square. With my eyes getting older, and when I am trying to cut up pieces, at times I end up bobbling between all those tiny marks that are all the same color. This ruler is perfect for the cutting that I mainly do. It is going to be so much fun to do my pre-cuts now when I will feel confident my cutting is correct. This ruler is a huge savings from many of the rulers I have bought in my quilting career, at least since rotary cutters, mats and acrylic rulers hit the scene. My very first quilt I started in 1968 with absolutely no instructions, just an idea in my mind after reading through the Little House books and knew I wanted to make a quilt. Using my moms old Singer that had been removed from a treadle table and a motor added on. It only had straight stitches to do buttonholes she had to attach a clunky gadget on it. I used scraps from my moms scrap bags, any color of thread that she had in the machine, and years later when I came upon some quares that I hadn't used in the quilt, I saw I had basted them together! No wonder it fell apart so quickly. To cut my squares, I cut a square and then laid it on more fabric and cut around the squares. No wonder when I got done I had squares that were sometimes more than half and inch larger than other blocks. I learned my lesson and now I can really appreciate good sewing machines, good rulers, good fabric, rotary cutters and mats.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this ruler. Thank you.

Great Value Ruler
I sew a lot and like to have rulers for different purposes. This ruler is great - numbers are clear and easy for me to read. The measurements were accurate when I compared to my other rulers. It also came with some little grippy sticker feet for the underside to prevent slipping around, which I put on the bottom of the ruler and definitely appreciate!

Measures up
Good quality made and easy to read I really like using this even over my name brand one. I feel that it does a great job and is easier to read.

Nice ruler
I like that this ruler is 6.5" wide -- my others are only 6 and that half inch more makes a big difference when needing to cut things that are 6" wide. I find it a big tough to ensure that the edge of my fabric is lined up with the edge of the ruler, so I prefer to line it up with markings on the ruler itself, so I can line up the edge on the 1/2 in mark to cut a 6" wide strip and that just makes me feel like I can be more precise.I like that this ruler has a hole in it to make storage easier. The ruler itself is nice and thick and I feel like my rotary cutter is well supported along the edge. Once you peel off the protective film, this ruler is clear and it's easy to see the fabric through the ruler to make fussy cutting pieces easier.
