Seriously awesome shoe!
I bought these shoes for a trip to Jamaica & since them I've put them in the lineup for my normal rotation of shoes to wear. These shoes are awesome! They've been on a 2.5 mile walk with me, through a squall in Jamaica, through a snowstorm in Colorado, and through some mud and mucky water throughout. They still look good, leather is holding its shape and holding up well, they wipe off easily and are incredibly comfortable. If nothing else, get them for your daily drivers. The Positives:- Comfortable- Hold up well- Look good after being beat upThe (1) Negative:- leather laces could have been a little better quality - it is the only sign of wear on the shoeRating/Price suggestion: 5 stars, buy now(note: these shoes fluctuate in price quite a bit, watch for when they are in the $20's & $30's

Price Difference = Quality Difference, Don't make the mistake I made
These shoes looked nice when they arrived but now, a few months after purchase, they are already falling apart. There is a hole about 2 centimeters wide where the stitching meets the flaps from the side. The metal circles on the side are coming off from the leather - so now if I brush my shoe against my leg I often scratch myself. I thought I was saving some money by opting for these instead of Sperry's, but I realize now that these shoes will probably last me a total of one year, if that, where I'm still wearing Sperry's I purchased four years ago. Sometimes, a product is more expensive simply because of branding. In this case, I think the price difference is also a quality difference, and do not recommend you make this purchase.

You Get What You Pay For...
I am an avid sailor and keep a boat in a marina in Southern California. Consequently, I own numerous pairs of boat shoes. My practice has been to order a pair and then use them as "dressy casual" shoes until the newness of them starts to fade. At that point they rotate into regular wear at the marina and aboard the boat. This particular pair was purchased in February, 2018 and were worn about 12 to perhaps 18 times for either church on Sunday mornings or to some function where a sport coat, slacks, oxford shirt and boat shoes would be appropriate. In that use, these shoes were doing fine. About two weeks ago, I started wearing them ONLY at the marina and aboard the boat. Within 4 days, the top leather ripped adjacent to the stitching on the left side of the tongue of the right shoe. This is a complete failure of the leather itself! There is no repairing this shoe. It is total trash at this point. My regret today is that I did not put these shoes into regular "boat shoe" service right off the bat. No doubt they would have failed within the time frame to return them. I entitled this "You Get What You Pay For" but I would not hang my hat on that generalization. I have noticed that even the "S" brand's quality is no longer what it was "back in the day." As for this particular brand of shoe, you could and should be able to do better. Look at the reviews. I am apparently not the only one who has had the leather itself fail. Stitching can be repaired. Thin leather ripping along the seam line cannot.

Poor quality casual and sailing shoe
Updated review -- 1 star - stitching fell apart in toe after about 5 to 6 months. I had a previous pair that lasted 20 years, so this product quality is very poor! Would NOT recommend!Initial review -- 5 stars -- Great 3 months after purchase. Comfortable, good fit (size 11), good price, quality seems good. Previously owned St. Johns Bay brand by JC Penny for years, but their product quality decreased and they do not carry this exact type of shoe any more. Use these for casual use and for sailing. We will see how they hold up. Would recommend (at this point).

Doesn't fall apart instantly like my actual sperrys did
Doesn't fall apart instantly like my actual sperrys did. Costs less too. I got these to replace my aging Island Surf classic leather boat shoes of essentially the same design. They too are a very excellent Sperry alternative. Here's my boat shoes history:Got Island Surfs in summer of 2011 with a pair of non boat shoes sperrys which lasted less than a year.Replaced my Island Surfs with classic design Sperrys mid winter-ish late 2013Sperry were beat up after a year maybe while being worn on and off with the old Island Surfs.Retired those Sperrys and solely used the 2011 Island Surfs which were in better shape until summer 2016 when the sole of one of the shoes finally came off.Got a pair of Hilfigers and they've been doing just fine. At this point, the soles (the inside, not the rubber bottom) of the Sperrys were peeling up and cracking.

Cheap material
I don’t think these are real Tommy Hilfiger shoes and feel like knock offs the laces are so cheap they rip easily All in all the shoe feels plastic it’s garbage and I would never buy another pair again originally I was going to get a couple different colors but I wouldn’t recommend it is trash I ended up reselling them to somebody all in all the shoe feels plastic it’s garbage and I would never buy another pair again originally I was going to get a couple different colors but I wouldn’t recommend it as trash I ended up reselling them to somebody off letgo Who didn’t care if they were possibly knock offs I took less than what I paid for them still brand new I never wore them out

Disappointing quality for a supposedly quality brand
I really wanted to like these shoes. My last pair of boat shoes were comfortable and lasted over 3 years. These Hilfiger shoes, I am afraid won't last long. Right out of the box the shoes were tight for the size in the toe area and there is no real arch support. Unfortunately since the toe is already tight I can't add a cushion insole. The really frustrating thing is that one leather lace snapped the first time I tied it and the next day, the other lace snapped. Now I need to spend $15 on replacement laces for 2 day old shoes. Since I threw the box out already I guess I will need to keep them and make the best of the situation. ; (

By Far the Best
I have gone through countless different brands of boat shoe over the years but these are head and shoulders over the lot of them. Beautifully made from gorgeous supple leather, they are comfortable from the off.For once it's great to see a fashion brand like Tommy Hilfiger not exploit their name by marketing overpriced and poorly-manufactured tat like so many other big names. These are a bargain in the very best sense of the word and I doubt you will find better quality.Well done, Tommy Hilfilger.

Three Stars
Cheaper looking than I had hoped for but O.K. at the price point. Most of the upper is synthetic, not leather. For a few bucks more you can get leather boat shoes such as Topsiders.
