Solid Wood Home Office Computer Desk with Drawers, Pull-Out Tray, and Concealed Compartment

This is the perfect desk for a small space. I have it setup in my entryway. Attractive and functional. A few minor problems with assembly but nothing tragic, I was still able to assemble it myself in an hour. Very happy with my purchase.

It's not wood, but I didn't expect it to be. Not perfect, not bad, a few slight blemishes, but a basic self-assembled desk that I hope lasts until I find exactly what I want. Deep and wide enough for my laptop and notepad, will hide some paperwork, office supplies, etc in my small apartment. Not sure if I'd repurchase but not unhappy.

The desk isn't exactly solid wood. It seems to have a lot of flimsy board and the wood is not very sturdy, I didn't except much for the price, but I did expect the holes to be drilled in the right places and straight - on the desk we received it was not. The wood is too flimsy to hold the screw and legs in place firmly, and maybe these screws could have been a bit longer for added sturdiness. The box was a little banged up when delivered, and the back board to the drawers was cracked. And I might have been able to get over this had it not been for the "secret compartment" being unable to open, and yes we did follow the directions. But it would not come open. Had to go through the trouble of actually taking the entire thing apart and packing it back up for a return. Completely disappointing, but unfortunately the magnet that holds the top closed, would not disengage at all so the secret compartment would not open, and that was the whole point - having that added storage. Honestly, the manufacturer should consider making this desk to just slide open without the use of the locking magnet, what a pointless design.

The color was red/cherry not the golden hue shown in the picture. Also, the back slats on both sides of the back corners of the desk were cracked/ broken.

I didn’t think I would care about the secret compartment, but if you can’t get it to work and you drop something in there… it’s kind of annoying lol. Otherwise this desk is super cute!!

Hardware is not long enough to put piece together. Had to buy screws at Ace. Tried to contact Customer service but their email is invalid.
