Very small amount, but adequate
It's difficult to find Nomex thread in less than a whole spool, which is expensive, so this is a good alternative if you only need a small amount. It comes wound on a bobbin, and is not a full bobbin at that. I do repairs and alterations on garments and though I do a lot of work on firemen's coats in the gold color, I seldom need black Nomex thread. I had a customer from a racing team bring me an FR (fire retardant) garment that was black and in need of seam repair. It was great to be able to buy just enough for the job and not have to shell out 50 bucks or more for thread that I might never use again. I passed the cost of this 40 yards on to my customer.

Saved money with strong quality profox Nomex thread
Saved money on great quality product. I have been searching for strong nomex FR thread for months. I needed to repair Nomex racing suit and nomex work uniform/coverall but did NOT want to spend $55 on a big Nomex cone which was way too much thread for my few repairs. Found this profox nomex thread on Amazon and saved A BUNCH OF money! Thread came quickly and I repaired more than a few flame resistant/fire resistant garments including racing underwear, FR gloves from work, and even a friends racing jacket. Thread is strong and great quality. I have tried other brands that shed a lot of fiber dust in the machine, not this product it worked very well is strong great quality and held up to all of my sewing needs. For a Smoker
There was just enough thread to sew an insulating cover for my smoker. I’m confident the cover will last while being exposed to prolonged temps.

Good but pricey
I got the tan thread and thought the color was true to the product image. I used it to re-sew some velcro back onto the pockets of my khaki colored nomex pants. Thread is thick, seems like good quality. Seems a bit pricey for how much you get, but couldn’t find it anywhere else in smaller quantities. Good for extending the life of my burn pants.

Looks like a good grade of thread
Looks like a good grade of thread. Thought it was supposed to be a regular spool size. I'm sure it will be sufficient for what I'm using it for. It took quite a long time to receive it. How far in advance do I have to order it if I need it within a week?
