I needed just plain black t-shirts as a base layer for work and these perform well. A thin but opaque fabric that seems to keep me relatively sweat free as it's wicked away. Great to wear on their own in hot weather, though for most people's purposes black isn't a good idea in direct sun! Some excess threads out of the packet that needed a snip but at around £5 each these are ideal.
