As expected
I actually saw this insect pin before when I purchased insect specimens from insect dealers. It was used for supporting specimens (not for specimen body). I can see why as the ball-tip is bit large for specimen. I am using this pin to place beetle legs and antennae in position when I am spreading the specimen. For the body, I will use other higher quality pins.

Perfect for Pinning
I used these pins during our kid's outdoor summer camps. They were so easy and definitely user friendly for the younger kids. They caught their own bugs, unalived them, and pinned all by themselves. Definitely happy with this purchase!
