The shoes are perfect, i hope i can keep buying more of these for as long as i live, some people keep mentioning the bass shoes claiming they're better, i've had a pair of those and didn't last more than a year, they always change the original saddle shoe design adding modified things such as a curved dark fold, vent holes and different colors that makes them look like modern sneakers, but the eastland ones use the original colors and design, they feel more comfortable and last longer

I'm always glad for the other reviews on Amazon- it makes online ordering so much easier!! I wanted a pair of saddle shoes...I wear a lot of black and white anyway and let's face it, their retro charm cannot be denied! I read the good, bad and ugly reviews of all major brands. I didn't want a costume pair of saddle shoes. I wanted real leather and the classic style. I have loved Eastland loafers in the past, so I was not surprised by the great reviews on these.I wear a 9 in Sperry topsiders and in open toe shoes, a 9.5 in most closed toe shoes and sometimes a 10 in boots or athletic shoes, especially Nike. After reading others reviews I decided to order a 10 in the Eastland Saddle shoe. Perfect fit!! I could easily wear these with a light sock or no sock, but because of the narrow toe box of this style Oxford there would not be room for any type of extra insole or heavier sock. Not a problem for me. I would say if you have a wider foot or higher arch you maybe would prefer these in a wide instead of regular width.Initial reaction pulling them out of the box was they looked big, but they are not. Initial reaction putting them on was they are stiff, but the softened and conformed to my foot right away.They are quality construction and have memory foam in the footbed. The inside of the shoes and tongue are lined with lightly padded soft fabric. The inside seams on the shoes are sewn flat so there are no 'rubby' spots. I can't speak for their longevity but it appears we will be good friends for a long time. I've been wearing them around the house this morning without socks and they feel great!! I intend to wear them out shopping today and to Ikea so if anything happens I'll update my review, but from the instant comfort of these I'm guessing I won't need to.5 stars from this shoe lover!! They are everything I hoped they would be!

I have really bad feet problems which makes shoe shopping quite the nightmare. My issues are unstable ankles, fallen arches, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis and high instep in addition to a painful lower back requiring low heels. The entire house looks like a shoe department cemetery given many faulty purchases on my part. I run my own pet sitting & dog walking business so I am constantly on my feet and driving around town. A decent pair of shoes is critical to foot care.When I saw the Eastland saddle shoes my interest was peaked. I have never been more satisfied with a pair of shoes. They actually helped me to walk all day at work and return home without any pain whatsoever. The memory foam took form of my feet making them custom tailored. I wear a brace on my right ankle to stabilize it's weak painful joint. These shoes didn't sag or lose tightness of material around my problem ankle. No plantar fasciitis symptoms have been experienced after taking my shoes off upon arrival at home.The only drawback to these shoes is cheap shoelaces, but that can be remedied quickly by a run to the local Walgreens.You might need to order half a size up for proper fitting. I wear an 8 1/2 wide so I clicked on 9 and it panned out. They might look huge, but once worn it fits perfectly even with woolen socks.If you are in need of supportive practical shoes yet they must be aesthetically pleasing for polite company then look no further. Between the memory foam and sturdy genuine leather your criteria are met. Eastland Saddle Shoes are absolutely perfect in every way imaginable.I can't say enough great things about the Eastland saddle shoes!

I wore these shoes out for the first time today and I had not anticipated the attention I would get ! Like many women in my age group, have mixed memories of these saddle shoes of our youth. What was a reliable shoe decades ago, is now a fun and attractive remembrance of days passed. A few young girls told me they were now "in" and several ladies in the 55-60 age range stopped me to say "are those saddle shoes!" I knew I would enjoy wearing them but the unexpected comments were an addition.As far as the shoe itself, I found it to be very comfortable. I wore them for about 8 hours and was not in any hurry to take them off. They look just aspictured. There's lots of comments about sizing in the reviews and I was quite confused what size to order. Depending on the shoe I range from a 7.5 to an 8. Some said size up, some said size down. I went with the 8 and they fit great. I'm pleased treated myself to this throw back

I absolutely LOVE these saddle Oxfords. I usually don't spend more than $25 on shoes, but I am so glad I took a chance on these, they are incredibly comfortable. I get comments on them all the time. The leather is soft, no hard places around the ankles at all. I would buy them again any time! I'm glad someone mentioned that they were a bit snug, I usually wear size 7 1/2, so I bought size 8 & the fit is perfect. I just LOVE these shoes, I could wear them all day long & walk all over, wonderful! Can't say enough good about them!

I bought these as part of a costume for a 50’s party. Little did I realize I would fall in love with them and wear them all the time for special occasions. These shoes shout out people, “Come see me.” I heard all kinds of stories about people’s memories of their first pair or the good old days of high school. About the shoes — they are comfortable and have great support from the memory foam insole. They are not heavy, and the soles have a good grip. The white is bright and the black is dark. They are a little tight, but my foot is thick. I am very impressed with workmanship and materials. I would buy again from this company.

I just love these shoes! The quality is 100% and they are slightly on the generous side which for me is great as I have really struggled finding shoes that fit my big feet for my 'newly taking up' swing dancing! I cannot tell you how lovely & comfortable these shoes are and I think they also make my feel look slightly smaller!! :)I would also wear them for normal day wear with a pair of skinny levis jeans!I was also surprised and how quickly they arrived and I think for the price are excellent value for money!

These shoes are amazing. They are of high quality and so comfy. They look really good and I've had lots of compliments. I'm a UK5 and these fit perfectly, so I'd say they are true to size.

They are great quality. I’m usually a size 6 but got 6.5 and they were a tiny bit small

They are lovely shoes but they were smaller than I expected for a size 5. They are also quite a narrow fit.
