Best, cheapest way to grow microgreens!
I have tried several other systems. This beats them all! It's clean. You don't need soil. There are no trays to store. I just soak a pad in water, lay it on a saucer, and spread the soaked seeds on top of it. Put a bowl over it to keep the seeds in the dark until they sprout. Then move the saucer into the light. Mist the sprouts with water 2 or 3 times a day.The sprouted seeds in my photo are curled cress. That is after 5 days. For sunflower seeds, I decided to stack the mats 3 deep to accommodate the larger root system. For radish seeds I cut 1 into quarters because I don't want so many of those at one time. These mats have revived my interest in growing microgreens. I will keep these on hand for sure.

2nd shipment was correct
Only 1/2 of my order was shipped the first time. Returned the order for replacement.2nd shipment was correct. It was a hassle having to return and wait for the correct amount originally purchased. It was a mistake in packaging the original order but made good!Product was slightly thinner than expected but all good for sprouts.

Smells of Petrol
Not happy with these. They are treated with petrol and smell awful. They are probably toxic. I don't recommend using these, and if you must, I would soak them in water for a few days and wash them several times.

No mess microgreen grow mats
Good quality jute mats, easy to work with and don't fall apart. The mats are very absorbent and plump up nicely when watered. You get more robust, denser microgreens when using jute mats compared to growing with paper towels. The seed growth with jute mats is about the same as with coco coir or potting soil but without all the mess. The jute mats are not reusable. Just toss them in the compost bin when you're done.

Stay away from these.
I would give it a zero if it was available. These are sprayed with something toxic. They smell like a petroleum product. They literally stink! How can this not be in the reviews?? I wonder if this review will even go up??
