Not a good choice for me
The teapot itself is attractive and appears well made from the outside. But it sits on this cheap appearing, differently colored, plastic ring! Writing to the seller yielded no response. There are no cleaning instructions, the actual instructions provided are useless. Inside the pot is a protruding thin piece of metal with the letters "max" stamped on top. No way to know how much water is being boiled, and dangerous to place a hand on the handside to wash it out. No descaling instructions. I'm not keeping it.

Pretty kettle but a big caveat
Not sure Amazon will let us review this, but for years we'd been looking for an ALL STAINLESS STEEL kettle. We got this and noticed the inside of the pour spout seemed painted with something. The metal was very different from the rest of the kettle's body--inside or outside. We even emailed the manufacturer for clarification, but they never bothered to respond to us. Our physician has strongly cautioned us to use ONLY 100% stainless steel or inert glass because of the dangers of long-term exposure to chemicals in plastics and paints. But we couldn't confirm that the pour spout of this kettle is also 100% stainless steel. Instead of taking any risks, we stopped using it.We really hope Amazon publishes our review because consumers should know if items' advertisements are accurate or not--especially products that affect our health.

All Stainless Steel inside
It is not easy to find an electric kettle that does not have any plastic in contact with water. Many say "BPA free" but still have some sort of plastic inside. The only thing I don't like is that I can't see the fill line unless I look inside the kettle. Otherwise it is pretty and functional.

Stopped working after plugged in to 220v power outlet
When ordered it say or will work with 110v and 220v took it overseas where the power is 220v it will heat the water very fast but smell like burning plastic. Then stopped working

Speedy! Plastic free zone for your water!
This just arrived and i've arrived boiled 3 pots of water after getting this kettle cleaned. So far, i'm absolutely loving it and it's far better than my Mueller (which is glass and lots of plastic). I love that the only plastic is the base the kettle sits on and the ring inside the lid handle and on the handle to life to protect you from scalding yourself! Other than that, the kettle is completely stainless steel! Bonus! They actually thought about the design of this kettle, the spout is large enough that you don't have to take the lid off to pour. The lid is super snug, so with it being all metal, it's a bit tough to take off when hot. So not having to take it off to pour the water out is a bonus. I've never understood why kettles were designed that way. Not to mention, if you want, you can pour water into the kettle via the spout... although, you can't see the max fill line that way. So you if you have a pre-measured amount, that completely works! Otherwise, taking the lid off to fill it makes the most sense so you don't overfill. The fact that they make the lid come of completely, is great... makes for easy cleaning. I can't tell you how many electric kettles make the lid only partially open (mueller, i'm looking at you) which make it impossible to clean and fill. Not this one... you can even get a good sized scrub brush in there to clean in (keeping in mind you still can't submerge the kettle because of the heating element). It heats the maximum amount of water super quick... I didn't time it but I swear it was quicker than the 5 minutes they say. It was done in the time it took to swap a small load of laundry from the washing machine to the dryer! Not kidding (keeping in mind all of the clothes were inside out and had to be righted) but it was not 5 minutes! It just received the kettle, so the jury is still out on the longevity, so i'll have to revisit this review on that front. The kettle is quality made and feels good in the had and has some weight to it. The base that plugs in, is plastic and feels a bit flimsy but they all do, from my experience... so that is not surprising. I use an electric kettle all the time, mostly for tea but sometimes for powdered broth and other purposes. It can be a daily event and definitely gets used multiple times a week, every week. This sucker will get a work out and i'll will report back on that front. All in all, i'm super happy thus far and the other one I have is going to be tossed. If you are in need of an electric kettler or looking to abandon one that has plastic on it... I do recommend you give this one a try!
