hardware an software did not communicate
Back in the days of WinXP or may be it was Win7 (we are old and cant remember) we bought one of these and we had it working fine, and it was quite useful. It took a little bit of installing, and a bit of swearing, however once we were over that it was great little piece of kit.Fast forward to the present day. Some how during a lot of re structuring the old one got lost or stolen, its amazing how light fingered some visitors can be and it is not amazing how confused older people can be in mislaying things. (That’s us by the way)This one took 3 goes to get the software installed. This is not due to our age, we both qualified in computer programming (as part of a multi discipline award) back in the early days of “Basic” when there were few programmes and if you wanted the computer to do something usefull you had to write your own, so neither of us can be said to be illiterate in the computer arts even if it is hard to keep up with the speed of change in this subject.So we can say it seem to us that the software is badly written. Eventually it installed but then nothing! A screen lit up and a light came on in the device but software and hardware did not seem want to have any meaningful conversation. (Yes we did take the cap off!)Tried to import with Microsoft movie maker with the same result. All in all it performed like some of the north Korean missiles, in other words I didn't. Perhaps some of these will work, but as we purchased this thru Amazon market place, it was easy to return, and so we are now going to try a different supplier.

great usb microscope
This microscope is amazing for the price. My 13 year old son chose it for his 14th birthday. We used same day delivery and it arrived same day - great. The only negative was that it seemed to take my son and his dad quite a few hours to get it going. But once it worked we were all thrilled by it. Brilliant, highly recommend it.

Great started microscope
Fantastic value for money. My sons adore it and its so easy to set up. Have already recommended to several friends and we are doing a session at school this week for a class of 21 five year olds! Be aware you cannot see cells so we will be investing in a more potential scope in the future but for a first insight this is brilliant.
