It's Wahl
Wahl are a good brand for clippers. I've never had any of their pet clippers though, just those for men. These are well made, as to be expected from the brand. Smooth, quiet, don't catch, no needing to reset the blades. They came to me practically ready to use already, I just added a little clipper oil ahead of time. Gives a really easy and even trim/cut.

Quiet!
I really like these clippers. I trust the Wahl brand as I’ve had previous models in the past but this one is my new go to for our golden doodle. It’s noticeably quiet, which helps relieve some of his anxiety when getting groomed. It feels sturdy in the hand, and is primarily metal unlike cheaper competitors that use plastic for most of their products. It feels sturdy in the hand and that helps cut down on some of the vibration so I feel like I have a better sense of control, without being uncomfortably heavy. The biggest downside is this kit doesn’t come with an assortment of blades and guards. I’m going to have to collect more because we definitely need them. One 10 is a good start, but there will added expense if you truly wanna use this for your regular grooming and not just touch ups or smaller jobs. The cord was plenty long enough for my small bathroom, which was a plus.

smoother, quieter
I am comparing this my my Ultra Edge AGC 2-speed.First, I noticed the lighter weight. Andis, 495g. While Wahl, 340g.Next, I noticed it ran much smoother and quieter. I have a rescue that has been skittish about face grooming requiring scissor clipped. I was allowed to get areas of their face much easier with this clipper. So far I've groomed a doodle and yorkie a total of 8 times since received and it's has preformed well!

Junk clippers
Piece of junk. Was able to shave one small dog and then clippers would turn on but would not cut the dog hair. Money wasted

Good Clippers, Only Comes with 1 (#10) Blade
If you invest in this pair of Wahl clippers, you may not be finished shopping for blades. The kit includes one blade, a #10. My terrier's coat requires three blade lengths plus a couple of snap-on combs. To fully outfit my Pet MaxCoat clippers to do the job, I'll have to buy more blades (and I can't find any sold as bundles or sets, individual purchase only). The clippers themselves are nice. What I like:**COMFORTABLE GRIP: They are weighty enough to feel good in the hand without being too heavy or causing fatigue. The sturdy loop by the cord hangs nicely on a hook for storage. The clippers are made from stainless steel, not plastic.**QUIET: These clippers are surprisingly quiet, more so than some of my mini-clippers.**LONG CORD: The cord is 14 feet long, plenty of length for grooming (note: There's a similar Wahl clipper that's cordless if that's your preference).**CUTS SMOOTHLY/COOLY: These clippers make short work of thick, wavy terrier coat. Be sure to comb out every mat and tangle before clipping for best cut. The clippers didn't get hot, they are workhorses.**EASY SNAP-ON BLADE: Very easy to remove/change blades.**EASY CLEANING/MAINTENANCE: Included is a bristle brush for cleaning the blade and clippers. Blade oil also provided.**2-Year Warranty: I've used and enjoyed Wahl products. Nice that they back this one with a two-year warranty. What Could Be Better: Two things:**Offer Blade and/or Comb Bundle -- even if it is a separate purchase, would be appreciated if at least the first set of additional blade and comb lengths were available at a bundled price. This clipper works only with Wahl competition and ultimate competition blades.**Beefier Carrying Case -- the plastic snap-close case that comes with the PetMax clipper is okay but not great. The plastic is kind of thin and it seems like the flap of the plastic closure tab could break off over time. There is enough extra room in the case to store a few extra blades. I haven't had a problem with the case so far, time will tell.I haven't been using these clippers long enough to review durability. The facts that they are made from stainless steel, made by Wahl and have a two-year warranty bring me confidence that they will work well for a long time. I recommend these clippers.

Quiet Clippers
These clippers have been great so far for my 10lb Bichon Frise. This is the clippers and one #10 blade only. You have to buy other sizes and clippers according to your needs. It does come in a nice case to keep all of the accessories in. The best part of it is how quiet it is. Thankfully my dog doesn't mind the sound of clippers, but I appreciate that they are less noisy. The sound can get annoying over time. The only thing that would make these better is if they were wireless, but then again having a cord does prevent the needs for charging.

Doesn't live up to the Wahl name - wish it had more included
There are costs involved in grooming our pups at home. But in the long run, the goal is to save money. Our groomer costs upwards of $100. So we'd spend $100 every other month, which adds up. With our newest pup, I decided I'd try at-home grooming, and I'm already reaping the savings. That leads me to this Pet Maxcoat Clipper. It's expensive. For $185, you get a decent clipper, but ONLY ONE blade and guard. For the price, I'd expect it to have more of a "set" than a single blade that may need replacing later. On the other hand, this clipper is quiet, which is essential for many dogs. They don't like loud sounds, especially when vulnerable in a grooming setting. It cuts smoothly, too, which is vital. With cheaper blades, it can be easy to get stuck, which no one wants to deal with. The cord is long, too (14 ft), which is very helpful if you're grooming in a bathtub and only have one outlet to work with.It does come with a case, which is helpful for storage. I'm happy they added that. Wahl (and I'm assuming all of them) comes with a 2-year warranty, which is nice. ippers can burn out, so it's nice to know that if these do, Wahl will stand behind them.

Easy to use for first timers!
I’ve never used a pet clipper before, but this one is super user friendly! The different lengths of blade covers are really nice to choose from, and I was able to trim my mini golden doodle who has loose curls easily without pulling on his hair.
