Works on the RP but no battery indicator
As plenty of other reviews have mentioned, there is no battery indication on how much life is left on the battery but it works. I mean it’s not like the Canon battery helps as with the Canon battery, once it displays as “half” it’s dead in like 3 mins lol! Does its job. Just wouldn’t recommend it for someone doing video. Just get the Canon battery.

I needed this in my camera bag!!
I like to do night photography which takes me out away from the city. When I'm out there, I don't have access to much. I have gotten out there without my extra batteries, and that cuts my night short. I do have a portable charger in my bag for things like my lens heater, so now I know I will always have a way to charge my battery since it comes with the cord too. I like the fact that this battery can also be charged on the regular dock charger with my other batteries. It didn't come fully charged, but it didn't take long for the green light to show up. It does have less mAh than the OEM battery, but knowing I can fast charge it while I'm out is a huge plus. And it is still more affordable than the OEM option too.

Works 50%
Neewer generally makes good products, but this battery is NOT recognized by my Canon charger. It comes with a USB cord to plug into the battery, but that necessitates a cube to plug into the wall. Carrying a tiny cord and cube defeats the whole purpose of the Canon all in one charger. $27 is not worth a 14 mile trip to UPS to return. My dumpster is closer, which is where I threw it. Never deviate from Canon, the rest is useless.

No Charging Base Needed (Usb-c Port)
I mistakenly purchased this battery thinking it would fit my Canon EOS Rebel 650D. I sat on it for too long until trying it out as it's my backup camera that I don't use that often. Unfortunately, that camera takes the LP-E8 batteries. So, I can't fully test this out the way I would have liked to. What I can say, is that it has some good weight to it (a good sign the battery holds a charge). It came with a protective cover to keep dust out when not in use and charged up using red and green led indicators. If and/or when I look into an upgrade, I'll try to keep this is mind, so it gets some use.

Great replacement or extra battery
I was worried I would have problems using this with my SL3 as I'd heard or read that some after market batteries won't work in the Canons, but I had absolutely no issues with this one. Inserted and it worked perfectly just like an original. I really like that you can just plug in a usb c charger to the side of this rather than inserting it into the brick charger. It's great not needing to have that thing handy all the time. It's about 90 mah less than the stock batteries, but so far I haven't noticed much difference in the capacity. I may replace all my originals with this battery just to get rid of the brick charger...and these are half the price which is awesome!

Works well and convenien
This is a really good battery because it has a charging port right on it, so you don't need a separate charging dock. I have two of these, and I charge one using a power bank while the other one is in use, so I can cycle them all day. They seem to last about the same as the factory battery, which is to say not very long, but I did confirm that this battery works in both my Canon R8 and Canon R50. If you are looking to save a little space by not having to bring around a battery charging dock, then this is a great way to go.

Viable backup, but NOT for everyday use.
Not sure why one would want this. It cannot be charged in the OEM charger (more on this later), AND you have absolutely no idea when it will go dead. I guess when the power runs out, the camera just shuts down with no indication of why. My camera (R8) always reports this as fully charged as it believes that it is a DR-E18 dummy cell connected to an external brick powered by line voltage. It is NOT reported by the camera as a LP-E17. The only advantage I can see is that this has a self-contained charger that will work with pretty much any standard USB C plug-in charger. I did find that it will charge from a PD charger, just not (I assume) at an accelerated rate. If you want a traditional charger, the compatible Neewer charger will work (without any full charge indication!), but that charger will not charge OEM batteries, and similarly, this battery cannot be charged with the OEM Canon charger. That mis-match is stated in the product description, but is contradicted by the captions in photos here on Amazon. I expect the rated 950mAh is somewhat accurate, given that the OEM LP-E17 is rated at 1040mAh, so, unusually, there does not seem to be the traditional exaggeration of power specifications of a 3rd party battery. At the time I write this, the Neewer battery is $20 less than a brand name Canon LP-E17. Somehow that $20 seems cheap compared to the hassle of having your camera just turn off any old time without warning.
