This watch by SOLLEN is a nice self-winding watch to have on a budget. Sleek and minimalist in design, both the watch face and the wrist chain are highly attractive to please all---from the tech-savvy to those in pursuit of fashion & style alike.Self-winding watches are inherently larger than their battery-operated counterparts due to their built-in mechanisms to extract kinetic energy for power. And as a budget item, this watch lies on the larger and certainly heavier end, even amongst other self-winding watches. This, indubitably owing to the difference in both sophistication and materials used. Its fine, just think of it as a workout.And as the title to this review suggests, this watch is nowhere near perfect in its self-sustaining function. As previously mentioned, the internal parts of this watch are on the heavier end. The corollary to this is that it takes more energy (a lot more) than it would for that of a higher caliber and craftsmanship. No worries though, as the user can wind up the watch on a daily basis for the watch to keep on truckin' for another day. Instructions call for 20-30 rotations, or winding of the watch dial for days when it won't be worn for the day.To close, it's a very nice self-winding watch for the price. It's a very handsome piece of hardware as well. 4 out of 5 stars, a worthy contender to consider for sure.

If you enjoy clean, minimalist, and elegant design, this watch will work for you. It keeps accurate time and is beautiful to behold. I love it.

Fully wound the watch when it arrived. Looked and worked great.Says to wind if you don't wear at least 8 (eight) hours a day. I wear the watch all day.On the second day, it stopped three times within three hours.I even wound the watch in between after it stopped the second time.Yet it stopped again about 30 minutes later.Useless. Returning.

So I don't know what type of "mm's" Sollen is using, but the thickness of the watch is 14.46 mm almost 50% thicker than the listing claims. See the posted photos. Also, the date got stuck when I was trying to se it, that seemed to work itself out, but I'm very disappointed.

I recommend this SOLLEN Automatic Watch for Men, Minimalist and Slim Design with Stainless Steel Mesh Band. The Watch comes in a nice Gift Box, a Tool to adjust the Latching Mechanism on the Stainless Steel Band and a User Manual.I really love the look of this simple Slimline Designed Pure White Watch, the Crystal is a Curved Blue Mineral Crystal Glass and the Hands and Markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 are Luminous Blue and is Easy to read in the dark. It has 24 hour inset Circle with a small Hand and at the Bottom of the Dial there is a Date Window for the Calendar Date to appear.This SOLLEN watch is Mechanical and Automatic eliminating the need for a Battery. This is a very Precise and Accurate Timepiece. On the Backside of the Case you can see the Mechanisms turning and moving in the inside.This Watch looks good with almost any casual or dress wear, it projects a very Elegant impression when you have it on your wrist.I know some people have a degree of frustration when it comes to making use of the Latching Mechanism on the Stainless Steel Band. Once you use the Tool that is provided to Move the Latch to the length you need for your wrist you lock it back in place. This locking it on your wrist is different than any Watch I have worn previously. Part of the locking latch slides inside the other and then you close it in place. When you do it successfully one time then you will be able to do it every time. Nice watch with a beautiful face. The clasp is easy to adjust and dial in that perfect size. I dont love the smell of the metal which is STRONG, at least at first. I am hoping that goes away here. The look of it give a more dressy vibe vs an everyday where, but overall a nice piece
