Simple device, works, no problem
I'm using this to provide a "display" for a headless Mac Mini. With this plugged in I can use the Screen Sharing app to operate that computer and have no problems with the remote display. (I need this because Apple's software gets confused when there is no display attached. In that situation it tried to support screen sharing without using the graphics card and that turned out to be flaky.) I was previously using a home-made VGA display emulator; this is much nicer - neat and robust and gives a much bigger virtual screen..The product description talks about crypto mining. I guess the idea is that the computer detects the hardware display emulator and enables the graphics card, which is then used for the crypto calculations. Best of luck trying that.

Perfect for Remote Desktop
I had tried various software options to remotely access my workstation from home, but none would play ball if the monitor was turned off. Thankfully this did the trick! I duplicated the desktop at 3840x2160 and can now use AnyDesk flawlessly. Great job! Would probably suit those using headless PCs and servers too.
