Great Air Dry Clay For Crafting
Pepy Premium European Air Dry Modeling Clay Terracotta provided an easy experience in using modeling clay for what I was attempting to use it for, which was a large scene for a certain 75mm fantasy miniature sculpt I had recently painted.I will say outright that I used this product with little knowledge of how to clay model so this is coming ming from someone that likes to sometimes trial-and-error things to self discover. So mixed results. The clay is very easy to use and doesn’t give off any chemical odors. It’s very much ready to go straight out of the package and can be sealed back when you want to use it later. I wanted to use it to make a dessert like base to fit the theme of the miniature character and as it didn’t come out how I first envisioned, minus novice user experience, I think with more training, that this is a great product! It molded well to the shape I was trying to achieve and acting like regular middle school clay that we used to play around as children. The drying time I found was long — expect to be patient as this little platform and with how marginally thick it was, began to dry in a relatively cold room for around 48 hours from being molded by hand.Having said that I think it did it’s job and with better tools and some further instruction,I think I would very well get this product again as it’s a good 1.1 pound to work with and the price is decent. The third picture was my attempt at clay shaping a back wall. Let us say it did not work but interestingly enough, when I broke it finely into pieces, I found that it’s a great add on to simulate rock terrain! Crumble it up, let the drying process do its job and hey — red rocks that you can paint over any color you wish for your backgrounds! It would work exceptionally well and with a good 1.1lb bar of it, quite a lot can be made!

Suitable for amateur projects
This is an airdry clay, so it doesn't stay workable for very long. The clay seems to flake a lot and doesn't stick to itself very well, which makes it difficult to work with for sculpting that requires lots of little adjustments and changes. However, once it dries, it is extremely hard and doesn't chip or break easily. The color is earthy and will stain hands/clothes temporarily. Once dry, paint can be applied over it without any problem.I would recommend this for beginners or novices who are looking to make trinket pots/plates that don't have to be super precise or neat. Keep pieces thick but not too bulky to add strength without preventing it from drying. Might be fun for middle school kid crafts.

Exactly as advertised!
For my baby's first holiday season I wanted to make ornaments with his handprint for myself and the grandparents. I chose this air dry clay because it seemed very simple and easy to use and I am so impressed by the quality and results!I will note that the packaging doesn't really give much instruction other than just open, create and air dry but I quickly discovered that is because it really is that simple to use. I wore gloves because after a few kneads I realized it seemed to be transferring color to my hands but I imagine that this would easily wash off without staining if you rinsed within a reasonable amount of time. I pressed my baby's hand into the clay and it did not transfer color to his hand to I think it was more of the kneading and manipulation I used to soften it for shaping that caused the product to get on my hands.I really like that the package is resealable with a sticker so that you don't have to use all of the product at once.I have used other "air dry" clays that never really seemed to harden fully or dry completely and I have to say that this brand really exceeded my expectations. The ornaments turned out precious and they are exactly what I had envisioned! This terracotta color dried beautifully and does not need to be painted to look like a work of art. I debated between the white and terracotta but am very pleased with my decision!

Fun for personalized Christmas ornaments and more.
I originally got this clay for making small stands for my paper flowers. And I may still use some of it for that. But when I opened it to try it I couldn’t resist making a couple of Christmas ornaments out of it. I rolled out about a half of it and made 2 personalized little flat round ornaments that will have a turquoise ribbon on them. They will be southwest style. I used rubber stamps to press in the letters for the names. That worked great. The clay itself dries lighter but still a very pretty color of terracotta. The clay did leave a red stain on my hands but I removed it with hand sanitizer. Make sure you work with it on a protected surface. It does feel good in your hands. Kind of therapeutic. This better than expected & I do recommend it. Just be aware of the staining (removed one star for that.)
