Fantastic STEM kit!
I’ve experimented with what feels like dozens of STEM kits over the years, and this is the first one I’ve seen that really helps communicate that you don’t NEED fancy STEM kits to come up with STEM projects. It bridges that gap by providing what are basically popsicle sticks for all the wooden structures and showing you how to combine them to get what you need. There is a book with over a dozen projects in it for things to make as well. They provide a cutting tool as well which I wish I had known about years before for cutting the popsicle sticks. They did not provide a way of drilling holes in sticks, but I can think of several ways that could be accomplished. One can buy these motors, propellers, etc. separately, which means that, once someone gets their feet wet learning from these kits, they could make the same things again and again by buying only the parts they need rather than shelling out a ton of money for another kit.The only con I see to this kit is that the provided cutting tool looks like it could cut through far more than just wooden sticks, and I definitely would not trust my own children to use it responsibly without adult supervision. If you are giving this kit to a kid, either make sure the parents are VERY aware that there’s a dangerous tool within or remove the tool and give it to the parents separately. I’m so glad I thought to check inside the box before passing it over to my son.Anyway, I’m really looking forward to seeing what my 8yo makes of this kit, and I’m looking forward to doing it alongside him with regular popsicle sticks and extra pieces we have from other STEM kits. I’m also looking forward to how we might get creative and try to come up with new projects using the provided knowledge and tools.

Lots of options and fun
We got this for our 8 year old and he has really enjoyed it. He built the "boat" one that used water bottles for floats and was able to figure it out. There are a lot of pieces to use to build multiple projects and multiple motors for use on the projects. Overall this is a good kit to follow the instructions or get creative on your own. Definitely worth the price.

Fun kit
My 7 year old says, "It was fun. " We built the air powered car and my 7 and 9 year old were able to tweak their design to improve the speed. The only issue is that it doesn't come with separate wires so we can't use the switches. I see that the other kits do.

big bag of tricks
I love that this is essentially a huge bag of parts for all kinds of builds, sort of like a lego set but with a bit of skill gives you more freedom to do different things the way you want. it does require more skill so its for the seasoned builder.

lots of stuff, not easy to use or figure out
I bought this with the hopes of using it with our homeschooling group and letting the kids each pick something to build. It became obvious that adults would have to help every step of the way so I had ask the kids make the same thing (wiggle bot). I’ll keep it and maybe when they’re significantly older, they can do more.

Open ended STEM exploration
This STEM set is a step above the standard wooden STEM sets that build specific projects with really thin balsa wood. Instead of packs with pre-cut pieces that connect in a specific way to create a specific project, this kit contains a variety of building materials/pieces and a book with project suggestions - allowing you to follow a plan or your own creativity.Additionally, the pieces are a bit higher quality and less likely to break than the standard STEM build kits.Overall, we're really pleased with this kit and our students have had an enjoyable time exploring with it.
