SQUIRREL BAIT!
In Jackson Michigan the squirrels will not allow this type of seed tape to exist. They destroyed every vestige of the tape every single seed. I replanted they revisited and redestroyed!The three carrots I harvested were tasty though!

Just orange carrots with color on the outside
No color once you peel them. That seemed strange to me. They are just orange. Lol. Kind of a bumber. But tasty nonetheless.

so far...
so good.I haven't harvested yet.My harvest my spring crop (different packet of seeds) and was told I can plant them again before frost. It's been about 3 weeks, and they're coming up beautifully. Can't wait for the final product, obviously, but in the meanwhile, the rate of sprouting is pretty much on par with other packets of seeds I've tried.
