Works just like oem
Works just like the OEM one, but it a fraction of the price. Good quality, good value. Keep in mind this is not going to be as bright as the real flash. This is just to illuminate very close-up objects more evenly. Do not use this product with the Flash. Easy to use very versatile for macro photography.

Works great for macro photography
I have the TG6 and use it often for macro photography. I also use it a lot underwater. This light guide is nice for photographing things like flowers and other small objects in macro mode. The product page says it's not recommended for underwater use. I rarely use flash or LED underwater anyway, so I likely won't try it there. It does help with close-in images of flowers. It uses the LED of the camera (not the flash) to create a circular ring of light around the subject. The LED by itself can be difficult to use because I often leave the lens protective shield on the camera. That creates a shadow in the way of the LED, so I have to back off the camera from whatever object I am photographing. Using this light ring makes that issue go away. It takes the camera's own LED light and distributes it around the ring, thus illuminating my subject from all angles. This gets rid of the harsh shadows that sometimes happen when using just the built-in LED. It's a diffuser of light. Instead of the light coming from a single direction, it comes from all around. It gives a softer light and the results are more pleasing photographs. I am very pleased with the results. I look forward to spring and all the flowers this will help me photograph up close!

as good as the original name brand
Excellent light guide for Olympus TG series cameras.Looks the same as the Olympus-branded unit, and works the same.I have attached two photos, taken with my old Fuji A205 camera, showing the JJC Light Guide attached and working with my Oly TG-4 camera.Totally awesome, highly recommended, good value for the money.
