Amazing Countertop Dishwasher!
I love that this dishwasher is able to hold full sized plates, coffee mugs and water glasses, lots of bowls, saucers, smaller plates and a large amount of silverware.I cannot stand doing dishes, so having a compact one that easily attaches to my faucet with the quick release is one of my favorite kitchen accessories. This dishwasher is highly efficient, using only a tablespoon or so of dishwasher detergent, and the machine runs very quietly. If countertop space is a premium, consider a rolling shelving unit with the dishwasher on top so you can roll it up to the sink. Otherwise, I would highly recommend setting up your new dishwasher near the sink.I've had this dishwasher for about a year and have run it dozens of times and the machine has operated flawlessly.

Game changer!
I have always found hand washing dishes to be a real chore for me. Yet I bought a house with a small kitchen and no dishwasher. It took me five years to figure out how I could have this dishwasher in my kitchen as I could not put one near the sink. Now that I have this dishwasher I find that I cook a lot more and no more paper plates! I bought this one over other brands because it was advertised to hold 10.5" plates and heats the water to high temperatures. Other counter dishwashers may do the same but this one advertised it. I caused an issue with it after about two months. The drain line was restricted. The machine had an error code and would not quit trying to pump the water out. The Edgestar customer service was excellent. Edgestar asked if I wanted to try to repair it myself. I said yes. They walked me through how to take it apart to fix it including sending me pictures. There is a float switch in the bottom of the machine that stops any water from coming in and tells the machine to pump any water out. When moving the machine to fix it there was a very small amount of water on the counter. The fail safe device worked as it should have and I did not have a flooded kitchen! This little dishwasher holds a fair amount of dishes, almost always gets them spotlessly clean, and they are dry when the cycle is done. It takes a while, 140 minutes for the program I use, but that is not a bother for me. It is fairly quite. You know that it is running but it is not objectionable. I have had it for four months and would definitely buy this one again.

Great machine with a few delicate parts
I really love this little countertop dishwasher! It arrived yesterday, and if I get good resolution from customer service regarding a minor problem, the review might go up to 5 stars. As with it's predecessor, it arrives in an enormous box within a box. I unpacked it on my front porch. Because of my husband's back issues, I wrangled this pretty much on my own. Be careful.I recommend finding the owner manual online and reading through that before your dw arrives. It has useful tips, like it's best to have 2 people moving and unpacking this thing. I also watched a helpful Edgestar installation Video online (it was for the DWP61, but they are similar enough). The most important point made in that video is about attaching the hoses in the back. Of course you need to connect them in the right places but it's even more important to be SUPER GENTLE while you screw those hoses on. The fixtures are plastic, and if you force anything, you will strip the threads and your machine will leak and you will be very unhappy. I'm pretty sure a lot of complaints about leaks in the predecessor for this machine are because people connected the hoses wrong, and damaged them in the process.Measure your space carefully. The bottom footprint is slightly smaller than the overall dimensions, and it is supposed to be on a flat, level surface. This was a minor issue for us because of the location, but we have adjusted.Speaking of damage, the handle of the cutlery basket arrived broken. This is an extremely fragile piece of the dishwasher and I am hoping it will be replaced. I can still use my dishwasher - and the handle is so flimsy i don't think I'd use it to pick up the basket when it is full even if the handle weren't broken. That said, if you are gentle with the basket it should work fine. I think the key for this dishwasher is to always be gentle with it. some parts are a bit cheap, but I bought this dishwasher for $269 - they have to save money somewhere! The range of wash cycles is good. There's a great list of them in the owner manual, and they are easy to identify and select when using the machine. The amount of water listed in the specs does not (apparently) include the full cycle. Most loads take between 10 and 12 gallons of water per load. I like that there is a rinse only cycle, as well as a wash, but don't dry, cycle. That one takes only 45 minutes. Like most dishwashers, the dry cycle is not really complete, but that's typical. The deciding factor for me choosing this particular machine: I can put in 10.5 inch diameter plates. YAY!Overall, I'm very happy!

Great machine for a busy guy.
This thing is quite possibly the best purchase I've made in a really long time. I bought this dishwasher seven months ago for my RV, it fits perfectly on my counter in my 22 foot Prowler Lynx RV only covering half of the double sink. Being as RV water faucets are by nature kind of cheap and shoddily constructed I purchased another RV water hose, and bought a female to female garden hose fitting and a Male quick disconnect fitting. I screwed the quick disconnect fitting into my female to female hose fitting and run the hose through the window and hook it up to the dishwasher. works like a charm! If you're like me, you hate doing dishes by hand, this little dishwasher coupled with just a tiny amount of ingenuity will allow you to relax while it does the work for you. Great dishwasher, I have nothing but good things to say about it so far. Seven months and still running like it did on day one. I'd highly recommend this portable dishwasher to anyone.Update: Nearly two years of service from this bad boy and it still works just as well as it did on day one! Great little machine!
