Great product. I've replenished my supply several times. However, the last batch had been stored before shipping in a way that allowed moisture to get in and it hardened. It's soft enough to be usable and not worth the hassle of a return. But hopefully this was a one-off.

I first used this while visiting a relative who lives in the high desert of New Mexico. Her chiropractor or naturopathic doctor had recommended it to her. I now live in the Mojave Desert where it is incredibly hot and dry. I was experiencing dizziness and fatigue. The liquid electrolytes from another brand that I was using were not helping much. The only products available locally other than Gatorade (corn syrup - yuck!) contain mass amounts of vitamins. I wanted something that was simple and I could use as much as I wanted without overdosing on vitamins! This is the same product I first tried while in New Mexico. It really helps with reducing fatigue and balancing the body electrolytes. I noticed a difference after just a day and a half of using it. It has a nice, mild grape taste. There is a tiny bit of sugar in it (I forget what type of sugar - it might be from fruit) and natural flavoring plus some citric acid, which is likely to make it taste like fruit and possibly can also preserve the product. It is easy to mix in water and really helps with adjusting to the heat. Make sure you mix the right ratio of water to powder so it works. If you are consuming a lot of water each day you might not want to put it in ALL of the water you drink because you might end up using too much of it for your body, and also will run out faster. I recommend ordering a lot once you decide you like it because this makes 80 servings of 8 OUNCE glasses. If you drink 70-100 ounces of water a day and "treat" at least 48 of those ounces (about half) that will be 6 servings per day or 42 servings per week. You can see how this stuff could be gone in 2 weeks or less just for one person. Well worth the price, though. This is a high quality product. No junk in it.

I used to be really into this stuff - then I realized I can buy tang for 1/4th the price, and if I think Tang is too strong, I just make it at half or quarter the suggested ratio, thus making it about 20x cheaper.

Along with another brand of electrolyte replacement (tablets), this was one of the products I sold in my online marketplace back in the 2000s. I like the powder because you can mix the ratio as strong/weak as you like, versus tablets which are an all-or-nothing thing, but are more portable. I buy both.

This is the best electrolyte replacement I have ever found and, trust me, I have searched high and low. I have cancer which causes symptoms which leave me dehydrated. I like to eat and drink healthy, but I cannot drink something on a regular basis that tastes awful. Gatorade has too much sugar and too much artificial crap. Powerade is even less healthy since it contains high fructose corn syrup. Most "health food store" versions taste nasty because they have that wretched Stevia in them. Plus, I do need a little sugar to truly replace what I am losing. All the other versions of electrolyte drinks and powders are loaded with that epitome of unhealthiness: artificial sweetener. VITALYTE fulfills all of my qualifications. No, it does not taste like Koolaid like gatorade does, but it hydrates me and tastes pleasant and doesn't contain anything that offends me. That is a big bill to fill, but it does so nicely! I recommend GRAPE.

Read the reviews of this product and hence made the purchase. The "grape" flavor is more like a fruit punch, even when the recommended ratio of powder to water is followed. Will not be buying this product again.

I purchased this for my boyfriend after he had a total colectomy (total colon removal). Dehydration ensued within less than a week requiring hospitalization and central line placement, which is not unusual after this type of surgery. I struggled to find some electrolyte product that was easy to dissolve and tasted palatable. Gatorade, Propel and other types of preparations just didn't taste good at all.This powder is amazing! Dissolves so easily and tastes good- not too sweet or salty. Easy to use scoop. Variety of flavors although I think we'll stick with the grape flavor. This was a godsend to keep him hydrated and feeling better.For anyone dealing with gut surgery or dehydration issues, keep this available. My boyfriends' surgeon had never heard of this product before and after Greg raved about it, said he would be recommending it to his patients.

Love this stuff since its Gookinaid days. Learned an important lesson while canyoneering in the desert. Slogging through several dry washes into canyons, I drank about 3 liters of water. Felt bloated and still very thirsty. Then remembered reading a Western as a little kid, and it described the Apaches carrying salt to lick and make water absorb from the guts into the bloodstream. So I started carrying salty snacks and it seemed to help a lot with water absorption. Later, the cholera mix of salt and glucose came along for the same reason. And Gookinaid came along with its balanced electrolyte mix based on solid research. The rest, as they say, is history. Don't leave civilization without it.
