Lovely simple spindle
Great basic drop spindle. Has a nice weight, smooth finish, and stores nicely in the box.

Perfect size
Super easy to put together, seems sturdy and is beautifully smooth, no splinters at all! Excellent quality! I was worried the disk would be too wide but it’s absolutely perfect for me

Good
Works well for spinning small amounts of yarn. Easy to used once you get the hang of it and light weight.

It's nice.
My sister loved getting this for Christmas. I love the case that it comes in as well! Makes it nice for storing when not in use.

Bulky, awkward, bad proportions
This was given to me as a gift. Sweet thought. Too bad I hate it. I have several drop spindles. My favorites are from etsy, SnyderSpindles. I read reviews before unboxing this. First, the people claiming "it has a notch, I've never seen that before" well literally ALL mine have notches. Snyder spindles have many many notches. And this one, the notch is too shallow. Other reviews said "might be good for plying" so I started with a ply. Except the notch is too shallow and my maybe DK weight 2 ply yarn falls out, spindle drops to ground, and unravels. Now, let's address the size. It's notably larger than the others, yet had trouble holding what was less than half full from the 2 I plied. Because the shaft is CRAZY thick. And the part above the whirl is crazy long. If the top bit was shorter and the bottom was longer then it would hold more. Lastly, due to the proportions, it spins very little before it hits the floor and you have to ravel the yarn around it. The box is nothing special. And cardboard will just fall apart given much use or time, so it having a somewhat cute ish holding box, whatever it'll fall apart soon enough. It's cardboard. My final thought was I don't care that it comes apart. The more you take it apart, the more likely it'll wear out those bits and need a replacement gasket. Did they include a replacement? No. Do I own calipers to measure the inner and outer diameter to get an appropriate replacement when I need one? Also no.If you like to collect, and are lured in by the unique aspect of stores flat. Cool. It does that. If you are a new spinner and want to buy your first, or second, spindle then get a Snyder.3 stars because it does spin. It's hefty, so it feels sturdy. The finish is smooth. I just hate it.

Nice quality I'm not good at using it but I have hope.
Well made and functional. I haven't got the hang of it yet. But I'm certain it is just me.
