I use the 100% Laurel soap as shampoo and body wash. I've had chronically dry skin my entire life and this is the best soap I've ever used (51 years old). It's also cleared up excess sebum issue on my scalp that no other product has EVER done. My husband is a laboror and I had him switch, as it really keeps the body clean and odor free. You only need a LITTLE BIT as it lathers quick and THICK.

This hard bar of soap which can be used as shampoo or even a body wash has lasted a long time because it is so hard and dense......just my guess. I've been using it every 2-3 days for the past 6 weeks and it is down to a little more less than half left. The lather is just fine, it cleans well and does not leave my hair or skin feeling too dry. I do notice that the soap definitely does not leave my hair oily so don't let that worry you. The soap also rinses very easily and has not left any residue in my hair.The price of the soap bar seems to be comparable to other organic, high quality made soap.The fragrance of this is something that one can get accustomed to but it is really different. I bet for those that have smelled laurel before are not as shocked by such a different scent I have found that after using the soap a few times that I have become more accustomed to the scent. It's not bad, it is just very different from any soap that I've used before. The fragrance does NOT linger on my skin or hair after using. I'd say to give it a try! My hair and skin have benefited from using this soap.

This soap has a very natural scent and lathers well. It moisturizes, gets rid of body odor and helps keep it away. If you need a gentle natural soap, you can't go wrong with this.

This 5oz (bar of soap in laurel scent from Anatolia Soap arrived as I expected. The Laurel aroma is present and not light. The packaging looks good and has plenty of information about soap and lists all of the ingredients of the soap. The ingredients are as follows:- Laurel Oil- Glycerin- Aqua- Sodium Chloride- Essential OilMost of the time, I use bar soap when I bathe. It's a preference of mine, also bar soap tends to last longer, also I prefer the variety of bar soaps out there. This bar soap has a typical density to it. The Laurel aroma is present, not light. After bathing with the soap, I found that the residual smell left behind by the soap to be present, but subtle, and it faded as the day went on.Using the soap while bathing, it lathered up pretty easy. No issues with this bar of soap, it cleaned well, rinsed well. It's a decent bar of soap, no complaints, it’s as I expected. Made in Turkey.

This thick bar of soap comes in a beautiful giftable box with all of the information and directions needed written on the box. It's a giftable bar of soap. However, I'm not a fan of the smell of this soap.The soap and smell that I use on my body is very important to me. I've only used natural soap for decades with pleasant smells, which is why I ordered this bar of soap. I like that this is organic soap, but it may be better if essential oils were added to improve the smell. Because I don't like the smell, I am choosing not to use it on my body or hair. If I change my mind and l like it-I will update this review.That said, this smell may not be bad for others and given the ingredients you may want to give it a shot. Different strokes for different folks!

This is a good basic shampoo bar that cleans. Its smell is a bit odd - it smells of ashes - animal ashes - but I can get past that because this is one of those rare things today - a soap that cleans and leaves my hair squeaky clean and that's all. There are no additional chemicals, which I appreciate. I like my hair clean and in its natural state, which is soft, silky and healthy - no additional products to weigh it down. My hair does not smell of ashes after the wash either. That would not have been acceptable.This soap is made from simple ingredients – which are listed (I hope it is the entire list) and that I can recognize. I am not certain, though, how saponification occurs with sodium chloride - a salt, since saponification requires an acid and a base and normally, sodium hydroxide is the base used with the oil being the acidic component. The essential oil added probably gives it its characteristic aroma and the glycerin is supposed to moisturize.A good simple soap that lathers well, cleans well and leaves hair soft, healthy and light. It comes in a box with ingredients clearly listed and an explanation about laurel, the oil of which is used to make this soap. Good presentation.

This is the most nourishing soap I have used yet! Not only is it super convenient, but it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and refreshed! It has not melted quickly in hot water like some soaps do, and the scent is very earthy in my opinion. I have not experienced any irritation or sensitivities to this soap, which is nice since I typically am sensitive to certain ingredients. Overall, this is a nice soap that I found a pleasure to use!
