This is a cute dress although it is not the dress in the pic. The tight waist area that you see on the pic is actually just an elastic band similar to the band on men's underwear. The material is okay, could be a little thicker but it's not too thin. I love the length, I'm 5'8 and it came past my knees. The only problem I had was it ran kinda big. At 5'8 and 180 I usually wear a medium but I have to return it for a small. There is a lot of extra material and it stretches...where you carry your weight will determine if it will be true to size on you. I'm curvy but I guess not enough for this dress. I was going to try other sellers to see how their version of this dress was made and if it were any closer to the actual pic but it was so cute I will stick with this one, just a smaller size. Based on other pics and reviews this may just be the best version. You will not be dissappointed, buy it! I hope this review was helpful.****UPDATE*** I repurchased in small. This puppy is still too large. The top was slightly smaller but the bottom of the dress is the same size as the medium. Unfortunately I am dissapointed, it is a very nice dress. I will be returning the small as well.
