Love it!
Only have it for 1 day, but so far I'm pretty impressed by it with such low price tag.Built:Very solid. The curved edge and the curved glass give the phone a high quality look. In hand it's quite a bit lighter than it seems. They also took out the "BLU" logo on the front, which gave it a cleaner look. There is no way for others to tell it's a sub-$200 phone at all!Screen:The large 6 inch screen looks clear with good color and contrast. The 720x1440 resolution may sounds low in comparison to other phones, but seriously it's really hard to see a noticeable difference compare to my wife's iPhone 8 plus. Most Youtube are only 720 anyway :POne thing I really like is you can dim the screen to a very reasonable level to read in dark. My old BLU R1HD and LG G4 were all too bright even at the lowest level.Camera:Has Time Lapse, Beauty Video, Video, Photo, Beauty (photo), Portrait, and Panorama camera features built in. I played with their portrait mode feature (yes, portrait mode with single camera) a bit and compare again with my wife's iPhone 8 plus. Sometimes the algorithm would make poor judgement around the edges and make it unnatural. Also, since it calculates base on facial recognition, if you are holding something it may be classified as background and get blurred.Other than that, I took a few shots around the house and the other shooting modes look pretty good.Other random thoughts:-The phone comes very clean in terms of pre-installed junk apps. It has a few from BLU but that's it.-BLU included a silicon case and a glass protector, which is a very nice touch. I personally probably wouldn't bother with any protection for a budget phone like this. ($10 case for a $129 phone? no way)-Headphone jack!-Performance is pretty good with its Snapdragon 425. It my main reason to choose this over the Vivo XL3 at the same price, which has the MediaTek processor.====update 5/7/2018=========After 2 weeks of use I have a few things to add:-Finger print sensor works really well most of the time. Unlocks the phone within a second. I do notice if I lock the phone with the camera app or some other game app it takes several seconds to boot up, though.-The phone is slippery! The nice finish on the back also means your fingers have no traction. I almost drop it several times during my first day. This also explain why they include a silicon case... It really fixed the problem.-Camera is really really good. I'd say it's comparable to other flagship phones that's 5x the cost.-Battery life is very satisfactory. Its 3000mAh could last me 1+ day with moderate gaming, picture taking, and web browsing easily.-Still very happy with the screen. I was showing a picture on my phone to my dad who owns a iphone 7, and he was impressed with the clarity and color of my phone and felt it's better than his iphone.-Forgot to mention about BLU's complimentary 1 year warranty. The phone prompts me to sign up when I first set up the phone, which is very nice.=====updated 8/11/2018==================Almost 4 months in and it's still going strong. Still very happy and have no complain about the phone at all!One thing worth mentioning is about the screen durability. As mentioned earlier, I chose to not put the screen protector on. Over the last 4 months, I did not take special care either. I would sometimes have my key in the same pocket with my phone. Sometimes when my screen is dirty, I would use my shirt to wipe it clean; that sort of things. I took a close look today and was very happy to see the screen is still perfect with no scratch at all :)Today I was surprised, however, by the fact that it's no longer available on Amazon. Not sure what the deal is.Anyway, thank you for reading this.

First impression is pretty good.
Bought this during the introductory special for $129. Debated between this and the XL3. XL3 was $20 cheaper when I was deciding. I was intrigued by the Oreo 8.0 and the built in W-FI calling someone mentioned in a review for the XL3, but sprung for this one for the slightly bigger screen, and the clear case as opposed to the "zebra" case on the XL3. This is replacing a BLU Vivo XL (gen1).So far I'm pretty satisfied with what I'm seeing. Screen looks fine, and is pretty responsive. I like that it came with 3 Gig of RAM. It does only see your 2.4 band of wi-fi and still tops out at "n" and not "ac". And it has a micro USB not a Type C (which the Gen one Vivo XL had). But the micro is not a big deal for me. It appears to me to be "regular" charging and not high speed.Best I can tell there is no built in WiFi calling. On the original Vivo XL you could fast access some settings (like Airplane, WiFi, etc) by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. I finally found the equivalent option on this phone. The manual (online only) is incorrect on how you do it. The manual says pull down all the way on notifications bar, but that is only part of the story. You pull down and then swipe left on the pulled down area. The Wifi-Calling interested me because I was in kind of a dead zone for cell reception inside my house. This phone had more LTA bands than Gen 1, but it didn't make a difference in my number of bars. I signed up for the beta of Google Voice which provides Wifi calling at almost the same time. So I assume it's because of the Google Voice Wifi Calling, but I now have very good reception in the house.Since I've had it less than 24 hours, I'll probably think of some more things to add on to this review. As it turns out my purchase was well timed because my Gen 1 BLU Vivo died the same day as this arrived.PS - BLU, I'd be willing to review/compare and contrast the Blu Vivo XL 3 with this one. (hint, hint)
