[Gulfcoast Robotics] Aluminum Y Carriage Plate Upgrade for TEVO Tarantula 3D Printer

This upgrade is a must-have if you can't afford the carbon-fiber versions. This is the lipstick I needed to put on this pig of a printer to make it into a half-decent machine. The stock acrylic bed carrier is a wobbly turd that makes it almost impossible to manually level, but this aluminium carriage is incredibly stiff, incredibly sturdy. You may want to up the driver current for the Y-axis stepper just a tad, though, as this bed carrier is moderately heavier than the stock acrylic, but oh man, it's SO worth it. I haven't had to use auto-leveling since I've installed the new carrier and leveled the bed manually, which after fighting against the Tarantula and banging my head into the proverbial wall since March 2018, is an incredible feeling.

Arrived on time. All the dimensions for this plate are correct and fit as expected. I did not used the spacer that comes with the tarantula and screwed the wheels directly to the carriage. Found that the carriage was tilted and needed to use washers to adjust the wheel spacing. This is a problem with the spacers that come with the tarantula and not the carriage. This also took out of the wobble that the stock carriage had. Would buy again.

Perfect for my Tevo Tarantula.This is one of the best upgrades anyone can do to their printer.Less wobble make printing bigger and simpler shapes have less weird artifacts.This simple board make the printer feel more profecional.The only problem with it is that it is heavier than the previous board ,but overall the plate is just as tough as a rock.

Excellently machined with exact mounting hole placement. Such a good upgrade for the Tarantula as the stock one is the first thing to wear out.

for 3d printers with acrylic carriage, this is the best upgrade you can get, that's if you use aluminum extrusion on your Y carriage, make sure to get eccentric nuts as well!!! Highly recommended!!! Best value on the site as well!

This thing is solid. My bed doesn’t flex at all anymore. The wheels mount directly to it, without the need for a spacer. This should make bed leveling way less frequent now.
