Disappointing product.... Do not buy!
Terrible product. Poor design. The ball is two halves pieced together....see photo. The salty ice water constantly leaks from the seam, absolutely not an indoor activity. See the wet hands in the photo. Took 40 min. Ice cream was terrible. Kids were bored in 10 min. The product video of the family kicking it around indoors on their hardwood floors is so misleading. Instructions say do NOT kick, throw, or toss ball. Essentially it can only be rolled between people. Too heavy for little ones, too boring for older ones. Save your money. Such a great idea in theory... But just doesn't work. Really disappointed as this was a "Santa" gift for my kids. So sad. Returning it will be a big pain... I'm sure it's expensive to ship back.P.s. We had to roll it on an old blanket in the garage because of all the leaking.

It makes ice cream
It is fun. My kids had a lot of fun making ice cream with this. My son got it for his birthday. The only flaws I found are that in order to get it to not leak I had to tighten the lids down really really hard and then it took my husband and almost and act of God to get the stupid thing open again. Even tightening it down periodically you have to tighten the ice end because the cold makes it leak. If that was the only flaw I would give three stars but the second flaw is getting the ice cream out of the silly think. The unit is so hard to get a plastic spoon long enough to get to the bottom of the unit. And spatulas are not strong enough. I would recommend they make a spoon that is designed for this unit and maybe design a better way of opening and closing like a latch the pressure seals rather then screws down because it is really hard to grip. But if you ask does it make ice cream and is it yummy the answer is yes yes it does

COULD have been a great product
Fortunately Amazon gave me a refund. I teach chemistry and used a 2 baggie system when I hold a lab making ice cream. One baggie holds the ice cream mix, the second baggie holds the ice cream mix. I use duct tape on each bag to seal them. But every year someone gets salty ice cream. I thought this product would be awesome. I bought 3. They say to roll or toss.... My kids tossed it back and forth. It is pretty heavy and every once in a while it dropped to the ground. After 10 minutes and a couple of drops to the ground, they started leaking but it was only leaking salt water. After tightening it up, it was still leaking. To make a long story short; I examined the insides of the ice container side and there were radial cracks in the ice compartment. When you spend this much money to make a cool activity for the kids you want to use it for more than one year. Unfortunately these are trash.

Used :(
This was just delivered today and was clearly used. It has a little scuff mark on the bottom and wet salt residue inside. I want to keep it because my son worked hard to save money to buy it. Just not sure what to do to prevent a used product from being sold as new.

Great idea, but...
It is a great idea. The kids got really excited to try it out. After 10 minutes of kicking it around they were bored and wanted to stop. Its awkward to kick/move so it's kind of like pushing around a weight ball. It leaks at first so make sure you try it on grass. Once the cream begins to set it stops leaking, but if you don't open it and stir it every 5 minutes or so (a cumbersome thing) then it will be too hard to scrape out. It's easy to clean, and quality made- I don't think the leaking can be avoided, but that would be a big improvement. I returned it with no trouble so I'm very happy with the company. Like I said- it's a great idea.

Amazing product. We bring it camping so we can make ice cream because that's my favorite food group. Anyways it works great and makes delicious ice cream in about 20 minutes. The one thing that it took a while to learn was that every 5-10 minutes you need to open it up and scrape everything off the side. That's a pretty important step because it speeds up the freezing time.

Massive Buyers Remorse
Do yourself a favor, don't buy this! It was so much work, and of course the kids lost interest after 5 minutes. The worst part was that it leaked out of both ends and it was such a mess! Ugh, complete headache.

They're easy to use and we had fun with them this ...
Got two of these for my nieces and nephews. They're easy to use and we had fun with them this summer. No problems with leakage, and they wash up easily. We made small batches of a whole variety of flavors. (We did chocolate, vanilla, peppermint stick, cinnamon, and ginger. There are plenty of good recipes online, and it's easy to just add your favorite flavors to a plain base.) It does take a while, though, and the balls can get noisy rolling back and forth on the floor. They also need a lot of ice cubes.

Not happy at all
Not happy at all! Probably something wrong with it.... As the ice melts the water comes out of the side seam of the covering of the ball. The outside of the ball had a mark on it like it had already been tried out. I tried it twice and had the same experience every time. It never fell after I received it or was kicked around as a football. So I wouldn't recommend it.

It's ok
It's ok but could be betterI spend more time trying to scrape the ice cream off the sides rather than just putting my spoon in like I expectedI will continue to use it as it was a lot of money but I wouldn't recommend it

Great, fun product- just a little messy!
We purchased this as a birthday gift for our 9 year old wanna-be chef. We've had it for a few months now. We love it, but there's a few little quirks:1) Do NOT roll it on a surface you will be upset if milk/salt water leaks onto it. We've found every 4-5 minutes of rolling, both lids need to be tightened or they leak. We found stopping to tighten now and again prevented leaks, but consider yourself warned.2) It takes time. We have found we need 30-40 minutes of rolling (using 18% cream), with several quick stops to scrape the sides of the bowl to get the right consistency. If your kids are like mine, that's a significant amount of time to be doing one thing, so be prepared before you start.3) It's a little tricky to clean, especially if the rolling gas been done outside. Not impossible, but it's not easy either.4) The Yaylabs website is not as helpful as I'd hoped it to be. We really have had to search online for different recipes. Maybe if you have experience making icecream you wouldn't be bothered by this, but our kids like a set recipe for now.All this being said: this is a fun, easy and convenient way to make homemade icecream you can feel good about feeding your family. Great for kids learning the science behind making good, and simple for them to use themselves... My husband and I have also been known to make a batch after the kids are in bed too (sssshhhhhh, don't tell them!).Would for sure recommend to anyone, as long as they aren't going to mind potential icecream making messes!

Not great.
The ice cream was ok, but it was incredibly difficult to get it out of the chamber. Some of it wasn't frozen yet so ended up putting it in the freezer anyway.
