clips don't open wide enough to fit a car battery terminal plus it clamps
No matter how hard the handles are squeezed, the teeth end will not open sufficiently wide to put on an installed battery terminal. The clamps from the car to the battery terminals make it so the terminals are too wide for these alligator clips. I am keeping these because I can use it on the bare terminals of two spare car batteries I use for charging up devices.
