Live, laugh, shed blood. Dexter meets Richard Scarry's Busy, Busy Town in this twisted debut graphic novel! This is small-town serial killer, upstanding citizen, and adorable brown bear Samantha Strong's cardinal rule. After all, there's a sea of perfectly ripe potential victims in the big city just beyond the forest, and when you've worked as hard as Sam to build a cozy life and a thriving business in a community surrounded by friendly fellow animal folk, warm decor, and the aroma of cedar trees and freshly baked apple pie...the last thing you want is to disturb the peace. So you can imagine her indignation when one of Woodbrook's own meets a grisly, mysterious demise--and you wouldn't blame her for doing anything it takes to hunt down her rival before the town self-destructs and Sheriff Patterson starts (literally) barking up the wrong tree. Cute critters aren't immune to crime in this original graphic novel debut by writer-artist Patrick Horvath. Review: Richard Scary illustrates Dexter is small town USA - Amazing book. The use of cartoon, childlike, think Richard Scary, style imagery and gruesome, Dexter like tale means you have a great read and an exciting premise. the story rolls along and is a gruesome as it is interesting. A whodunnit on the side of a serial killer. Great story. Review: This bear bites!! - Just came today in the post, can’t put it down. Amazing read. The contrast between beautifully drawn and painted pen and ink watercolour style art work to the subject matter of a cold blooded murderer narrating the story and then another mystery killer on the loose added into the mix makes this an addictive, quirky, scary read… you never know what horror is gonna happen on the next page!

So nice to read a story about a female serial killer, and the art truly makes the whole thing
The story itself was fantastic. I bought the hard copy after already reading it online. I really enjoyed a story about a female serial killer, who wasn't a serial killer due to some intrinsic trauma related to being a woman. She just... is. The art's amazing and evocative, the story is incredibly satisfying, my only gripe is that it was delivered badly (damaged from being shoved in the postbox) but that's more an Amazon issue than that of the author or actual book

Underneath the storybook facade...
A deliciously dark tale of a very unique serial killer. Don't let the beautiful storybook style art fool you, this is a thriller about a successful serial killer whose carefully concealed crimes are threatened to be unearthed when a new killer starts their spree on her turf. A brilliant comic and well worth it for fans of gruesome tales.

Cute... But gruesome...
I absolutely loved this graphic novel! This being said, despite the beautiful, wholesome artwork, this is NOT a children's book!! I cannot emphasize this enough. The themes in this book is just for adults and deals with rather dark subject matter. The story and characters are incredibly well exucuted and I definitely recommend this... If you can stomach it.

Does not worth the price for this format
37$ for a so small comics book? Whatever is the story, it is a rip-off. I got it for 24$ (discount) but it is really the max it should cost. It is not an isolated cases: I think many prices are increased to make us think it is a great discount (like -30 to 40%) while it is just the normal price. I think we should have some regulation for the price of Comics books like it is in France. Else you always need to be very careful and if you are disappointed multiple times, you will not order online anymore.
