Great action. Sharp hooks
I needed something with an erratic action that looked life-like. There are many shad where I fish. It looks very realistic but I recommend using the lightest line you can get away with. I caught a bass on my 3rd cast. It holds up a little better than most soft swimbaits and did well. I'll definitely be getting another one.

The 5" and the 7" are awesome addition to your tackle and has really great action.
I purchased a few different colors in the 5" and in the 7" and the action on them is perfect. A great introduction to soft swim baits at a very reasonable price.Weather you are reeling it super slow, intermittent pulses or a mild retrieve, the action looks like a reel fish (especially when it sinks slowly). Its amazing the action you get with an introductory soft swim bait like this. The 5" you can use on any rod that handles 2/5 of an ounce, which is almost any bass rod. The 7" is an ounce, which can be used on Moderate Heavy rod (standard Bass rod) to Heavy rods. I cast both on Braid (20 or 30lb. test line) with a Fluorocarbon leader with no issues. When the Bass inhale and chomp down on this swim bait, you know it and you are really hooked in. I have not had a Bass spit this out yet.

Very realistic
Absolutely wonderful product by Berkeley definitely going to be purchasing more in different color combos

No action
You might as well not have a broken or sectional crank bait because this one does not move independently at all

Great action.
Caught the only fish the first time I tried it. Works great if twitched like a fluke, which I expected, but it also has surprisingly good action on a straight crank.

5” version is too light
Seems like the action is good but the 5” version is too light to cast well even with a spinning rod. I would try the 7” or 9” version.

Weird action but catches studs
Action on the 5-in is weird; it never does what you want. Fortunately, the fish don't seem to care at all. I use it in the salt for backwater snook and tarpon, and the hook started to rust pretty quickly, and it ripped in half after 4 fish, but they're so cheap who cares? The hook is sticky sharp, and it separates from the bait which makes it hard for the fish to spit—caught a total of 1 snook and 3 poons. buy it
