I ordered this product but not what I needed. It is a good product but I needed the retractable pens not the capped.

These pens are amazing. They glide across the paper like an opera singer singing the beautiful words that nobody ever truly knows. These pens are hands down the best. They’ll change your life, if you’re a pen person, this is the one. When I don’t have one to use my mood is immediately flips. I hate using any other pen since these amazing creations have entered my life. They have my loyalty until death

I write a lot of thank you cards for my job, so I've tried out a lot of different brands and types of pens. These are my current favorites. I love the black ink for everyday writing and the colored ink for more "fun" cards. The gel writes very smoothly, and they are comfortable to write with for long periods of time. I do find that storing them upside down seems to work better so that you don't have to "scribble" for a minute to get the ink going.

I would give 4.5 stars if it were possible.I am a big fan of Papermate gel pens. I used them through high school and into college pretty much exclusively. The gel pens glide nicely and don't smear. The color is strong doesn't fade.That being said, I don't think these are as good as the uncapped version where you press the plunger and the point comes out. This pen seems to have issues with the ink in the lines skipping. This only really happens once every sentence though and it's not too big of an issue.Take a peek at the image attached, you can see the ink through the paper but personally, that isn't an issue for me.

I love blue ink for pens which is very hard to come by these days, although not sure why? I ordered a big ol box so I would always have them on hand, however they do not write properly. When writing the ink stops coming out and then starts again and then stops again. SO you have to go over your writing 5 or 6 times just to make out what you want to write in the first place. It makes it very frustrating to write anything important, journal, even taking notes or writing lists becomes stressful when your pen doesn't work. Maybe that is why they were such a good deal, perhaps the ink is old and bad? Who knows? I should have ordered from Sharpie instead. I think they guarantee their products.

I love how well the PaperMate Ink Joy pens work -- especially the instant dry, even on non-porous surfaces like plastic. They simply never smear! And this particular model also is very comfortable to use for long periods of writing. I loved them so much I even bought the multi-color set...for artful doodling!

Decades ago I remember liking gel pens. I thought I'd like this. I was wrong. Make sure you try writing with a gel pen before you place an order, don't rely on your distant memory.
