Rainbow Sandals Women's Premier Leather Double Stack Narrow Strap Dark Brown Large / 7.5-8.5 B(M) US

I had purchased the single layer thick strapleather sandal 2 years ago, wore them pretty much every day all summer long (I was allowed to wear them to work), and just now, after 2 years, they started losing their padded support on the pressure points of my feet (heel and ball). They are a very well made sandal and super comfortable.This time I went ahead and got the double layer thin strap leather sandal because I want that extra arch support and padding, and I hope they will last longer than 2 years. They had a minimal break in period - the straps were slightly snug and rubbed the inside of my feet a little raw the first time. After that they were fine. I remember when I first bought the thick strap sandals, they were instantly comfortable - - - no break in period.I love how they quickly mold to your feet, and the footbed is smooth and soft leather. I prefer leather footbeds because they do not hold odors like synthetics do, and leather allows your feet to breathe.I have taken many long walks in them already, and they are great at shock absorption and have a nice supportive arch.The one semi-negative thing I can think of to say is that the sizing is difficult. I normally wear a size 7.5-8 in any shoe, but in the Rainbow Sandal sizing chart, I found the Large (7.5-8.5) to be 3/4" too large. I wish I would have ordered the next size down, although I really don't think it has affected the function of the sandal. Only looks slightly too big for my feet.

I was really excited about this but I don’t think they are going to work for my feet. The arch support is forward of my arches and tapers off under the ball of my foot. I’ve never had shoes that do that so I contacted the company to see if this was normal. I was told that’s about where they should be and that it would settle with my foot imprint but I cant see how the arch support is going to move backward by almost an inch. So I’ll be returning these.Regarding sizing, I wear a 71/2 - 8 so I ordered the 8 but they’re long on me. I crammed my foot as far forward as I could against the thong but it still didn’t help the placement of the arch support. I think I size smaller would be too small. I don’t have wide feet but the widest part of my foot, just below the pinkie toe, is right on the edge of the flop.I do think I would have liked the double layer versus the single layer, which I also ordered. I wasn’t impressed with the look of the popular Flirty Braid. I actually thought both versions weren’t very flattering but then they’re just flip flops. The Flirty Braidy that I ordered had the two tone thong but it wasn’t pretty liked I’d hoped.

I have had rainbow sandals for years and this is the first of this thicker type I have purchased. At first, the arch did feel a little forward on my foot, but after wearing inside for a few hours, the sandal feels just right! you can’t beat these sandals for comfort and longevity. … they are perfect for dry days… not good to get wet.

It takes a while for me to break rainbows in, but I'm very prone to blisters.Either you can get it all out of the way with a couple of painful days of blisters, or you can space it out over time. You can also wear them around the house or while watching TV to make it less painful. Also I've noticed that water seems to mitigate some of that extra rubbing in the beginning.Once you DO break these in, they're fully formed to your foot (if you try to use another person's rainbows you'll notice they don't feel right) and are the most comfortable sandals, able to walk any mileage in them. They also last an amazing amount of time for sandals - expect at least 4 years of heavy, everyday use out of them.

I am very picky with my shoes. I don't want something that is going to give me blisters or heel pain after walking for a few hours. After my favorite flip flops broke this summer, I needed a replacement. These sandals had great reviews, but I didn't want to spend the money on "flip flops". However, these are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn! They are very comfortable to walk on with a great cushioned heel and I can wear them walking around all day long without any pain. I did have to stretch the straps out (just pulled with my hands) before I wore them so that they were not too tight. The simple and classic leather flip flop is a great casual summer look too. I will definitely buy these again (but hopefully not for several more years!).
