Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant and addictive story telling. The way Jenny constructs the story's universe is something I particularly enjoy. they'll well fleshed out with interesting characters. I will read anything by Jenny blurb unseen. I was unable to put this down.

Old School Sci-Fi
This books brings back a lot of memories. Memories of other books that I read decades ago. Books that I enjoyed like I enjoyed this one.Check it out. If the next book in the series is as good as this one, I may have to look at the author’s other works.

So glad I stepped out of my comfort zone! (Fantastic!)
This book surprised me. I generally live off of a steady diet of fantasy books of various sub genre's but some of my authors write in varied genres and through some of those authors I found myself reading this series that is completely different from what I usually read in every way. And I am so glad that I found this series!Once I started reading, I could not stop. This book really drew me in and just was a delight to read. I loved getting to know the characters and the world. I loved Nora and Jonah. The characters were fantastic.Admittedly there were many things that took me a bit to grasp and I'm not sure if it is because of this series worldbuilding or because I'm not familiar with things that might be common to the sci fi genre. But it never hindered my enjoyment of the story.I am going to immediately dive into the next book. I could easily see myself rereading this series in the future.Steam Content: Super Sweet. Just one sweet kiss.

Great new series for me.
Coming off a fantastic series it is so interesting to start a new series with such depth and interesting writing style about space and the trials and tribulations you might encounter out there. Would be great to experience some of these one day. Probably be old and gray but it is exciting stuff to read about.

Very good!
8/10 This is storytelling well done. The characters are relatable and the plot moves along swiftly. Technically it's well written with no grammatical or proofreading errors although the sentence structure is sometimes unnecessarily complex creating a little difficulty in figuring out exactly what the heck is being said or described. It's an engrossing story and I plowed through the entire series pretty quickly. Good stuff.

Too short!
I think the creation of Kindle books has allowed authors to “publish” series of books that in paperback would be 1-2 books. Love the story line and the characters the author introduced in this kindle story but it felt like a story that was just getting going and then it ended. Not sure I will buy the 4 or more remaining books in the series just to read one story . It wasn’t long enough to capture my enthusiasm for what is to come next. I have given it 3 stars for potential.

GREAT SPACE OPERA
This is on a scale of Honor Harrington type of story!!! You are grabbed and led into an action filled story that carries you into a intreagueIng story that you can't wait to see how it continues in part two!!!

Quality Space Opera
While the title is perhaps a bit misleading, the book is lots of fun. A strong woman with a complicated past, a dashing naval captain, a mysterious AI, dastardly bad guys, devious politicians, space pirates… how could it be anything else? And yet, author Jenny Schwartz avoids simplistic cliches by making the the protagonists interesting and complicated individuals, forced to make ethical decisions under trying circumstances. There is, though, a dearth of xeno-archeology in the book. Nora (she of the complicated past) was a xeno-archeologist up until the events recounted in the book, but she’s clearly forced into new, more adventurous roles by events. If you’re hoping to read about archeological digs on alien planets, this isn’t your book. Otherwise, it’s quite enjoyable, and I’m getting the sequel as soon as I finish this review.Recommended.

Intriguing
It was a slow start and it's a cliffhanger. But once it picks up, I was hooked. Now I need to know what happens next!

Off to a good start
Astray certainly got me in the mood to read more of the series. A good cast of characters, a good plot and plenty of intrigue with plot twists to keep you guessing. Definitely glad to have discovered this series of Jenny's

Great read
Great mix of world building, technical info and relationship. I feel like I'm missing the word's to describe it, but it is well balanced. A heroine who seems very real and relatable, strong, sensible, and fascinating. Give it a try!

Loved it
For me, this is a perfect blend - it is basically an adventure book, with enough science to be interesting, intriguing backstories and personalities and a promise of future romance. There are a LOT of coincidences, but they tie in well to form the plot. I have already bought the sequel and I am keen to see how the story’s threads weave together….…. Having read the whole series now, it is not an action adventure, or even an interesting romance. The slow-burn becomes insta-love (bleh) in book three. The rest on the book is non-stop education/lecturing on politics, philosophy and self-improvement, with a lot of reviewing what has already been said. The VERY few action scenes were so fast, one took all of three sentences. It is still an interesting read, but not what I had hoped for from the first book.

A great sci-fi read
We are in the outer edges of space, in a future where humans have gone to the stars, and one group of 7 ships ended up where this story takes place, many years after the 7s arrival. Enter a kickass heroine who is trying to hide in said outer edges of the 7 ship human space, but fate intervenes in the form of 3 people & so adventure and action enter her life, now a life where hiding is pretty frigging hard....
