Must have in every house!
Blood pressure monitor is not a gadget, it’s medical device which is really important to have in every household first aid kit. Mine old one broke so I ordered that one. Came safely packed and delivered next day. All safety wrapped. That was definitely great choice. Works perfectly. It’s incredibly accurate. Measurements take seconds and also shows You heart rate. What is big advantage, machine informers You about any irregularities!!! Brilliant! Device takes only 4 AAA batteries which are supplied. ☺️🙏

Handy item to have in the house
It is always great to have a bit of kit like this handy so that you can check your blood pressure at you're on convenience. You get the machine which takes 4 x AAA batteries that are supplied which is always a bonus, the cuff and an instruction/guide that explains how to setup and use the machine and also has a table to indicate what the readings mean. You simply slide the cuff on to your left arm, tighten the cuff and secure the velcro strap, keep you palm facing up, press start on the machine and keep still whilst it takes it's readings. After a short while, it will display your readings along with an arrow indicating how good your readings are on a green (good) to red (bad) scale.I tried this on both myself and my husband and found it easy and simple to use and the readings to be as expected which is good.

Good value
This is a review of the Homedics Automatic Arm Blood Pressure Monitor. I got this to replace my old wrist-worn monitor, because my Doctor said that only a ‘proper one’ with an arm band can give accurate readings. I have to say I am very pleased with this. It’s more of a faff to work out which way up the arm band goes and then get it at the right height with the right tightness, but it is definitely giving more consistent readings. If I run it three times in a row I get three almost identical readings, and unfortunately it does appear my old wrist worn device was giving me low readings. For the price of £24.99 I would say this is very good value, though it would have been nice to have a case to keep it in.

Good home BP monitor
There are many of us who need to monitor our blood pressure. In my case I have chronic treatment-resistant hypertension, and I need to check my BP daily. So a reliable and easy-to-read BP monitor is essential for me. This one by Homedics fits the bill: I've had other Homedics products and have been impressed by their quality so I started with confidence in the monitor. The instructions are clear, and there is an additional guide printed on the armband, which is easy to put in place and fits confortably. The meter takes two AAA batteries (provided) which go into a compartment on the back, and it sits at a slant on a flat surface, so it's easy to read. The display is clear and large enough to read even without my glasses, so would probably be good for those with impaired sightThere's no case provided and I prefer to have one, so I've found a cosmetics bag that the whole kit fits into.I'm happy to recommend this meter to anyone who needs one.

Accurate readings with minimal hassle
Having switched to this Homedics monitor from a wrist-worn version, I can confidently say it gives far more reliable readings. The arm cuff can be a bit fiddly at first, but once you get the hang of it, the setup becomes straightforward. I was sceptical to start with, but it has proven to offer consistently accurate measurements – something that’s particularly crucial for keeping tabs on my health. I found that the included AAA batteries and the compact design make it quite convenient for storage, although a dedicated case would have been a nice touch. The reading speed is remarkably quick, which is handy when you’re in a rush or just don’t fancy sitting still for too long. Perfect if you need precise blood pressure monitoring without much hassle. A minor complaint is that it took me a couple of times to get used to fitting the cuff correctly, but the printed diagram helps.

Get one
Everyone should have one of these, BP monitors should be given out to every household. Keeps a hundred of your BP readings, and works for two people. My BP was enough of a concern that my doctor is going to ring me about it, so it's really valuable information to keep on top of, even if you are otherwise healthy.

Works fine
Requires setting up date & time before you can use it. This is something I find a little annoying as I always take batteries out of devices like this when not in use, especially cheapo batteries like the ones you get with this which in my experience are prone to leaking and irreversibly damaging and corroding the contacts rendering devices useless. I doubt many people will make use of the date and time log.Other than this it works fine, just press the button to start and away you go. It does make some quite weird noises when inflating compared to other monitors I have used, which sound a little bit 'worrying' but it seems to be OK. Has a useful colour-coded indicator (which many devices have these days) which tells you if your reading is considered to be in normal range, or in one of three grades of hypertension. Shame there's no storage bag included.
