Was not Disappointed
I have purchased two of these, one for the wife and one for myself.I cannot fault the quality and sturdiness. My wife loves hers, for the price these are really well made and granted we have had only a small mess about with them. But at the moment I would recommend for anyone who loves Star Wars or is into cosplay.

Good but has some issues for this price range
The media could not be loaded. While the Lischwert Lightsaber looks and feels premium, it’s let down by lacklustre sounds and motion effects. The box it comes in looks nice enough and certainly fits the higher price tag, as does the metal hilt, which is solid and really looks the part. It’s nicely weighted to feel just right in tbe hand. The hilt has a USB slot which is used to both recharge the device and add more sound effects over PC, not that there are clear instructions on how to do this included, you need to go online for that. The main light up section is a strong acrylic and, again, certainly looks to be premium quality. It’s a lot better than most of the official lightsabers available in tbe shops, but they those are aimed squarely at children where this is a more premium adult oriented product. The lights are not a single led, thankfully, as those tend to get weaker as the near the top, but a string of lights which also mean it can handle effects such as pulse rifle blasts and lightning (though this latter effect is less impressive), pressing the button on the hilt once provides a hot sound, pressing twice changes the light colour and cycles through all the standard lightsaber colours, including Mace’s purple one, a lightning style one and an auto colour changing mode. It contains 2 large rechargeable batteries inside the hilt, which is what provides most of the weight, though they are placed well enough to balance out the device. My first hilt would not charge. I’d used every charger in the house, all different wattages but to no avail, the second hilt did, thankfully charge, though. It does charge fast and lasts quite a long time in use, once on, the saber blade lights up from both ends, creating a cool effect. The sound effects are far less realistic though, they just sound cut off or odd. There are only a few sound effects included for different actions as well.Motion sensing is a little lacklustre, too, the sounds don’t seem to react to the motion well and the impact sensor doesn’t seem to work well. The sound for it being hit seems to be cut short so sounds very artificial. Obviously the effects can be exchanged with new ones downloaded but there should be more than just the few on offer as standard.Generally, this is not a bad lightsaber. If the price wasn’t so much I’d give this 5 stars but for what you’re paying for, it doesn’t really cut it.

Great item. Heavy for a small child
Great item worked well and was a heavy well made it. The problem was it lost some colors after a few weeks have sent it back and ordered another as it looks the best one I have seen for the price so hope the fault is a one off.Update new one lasted approximately 5 months and now will not charge. It hasn't had any exteame use by the 6 year old wouldn't recommend for the price as this is the second unit to fail so have dropped my high rating down to a one.

Great cosplay prop!
This came in a retail package with a recharging USB lead, an Allen key and three grub screws and instructions. It comes in two separate parts I guess to keep the transit packaging down. However if you are serious about your cosplay you could carry the handle on its own so it is ass realistic to the movies as possible and then at an appropriate moment sneak into a phonebooth (superman like) where no one can see you pull out the plastic tube and fit it to the handle and tighten the grub screw with the Allen key provided!I was super excited to be offered this item in exchange for an unbiased review on the vine program. In another review the reviewer say this has LED bulbs in the light sabre blade, sadly this is not true. This is a nicely made thing and works well enough, however it projects light along the length of a white plastic tube with all the light coming from the handle.Consequently it cannot do the super cool effects shown on that review, if you are buying it because of that review you would be well advised to pass. However I do feel that it is worth the <£66 (at time of review) that it is currently on sale for.One short press of the button to put it in standby, a second press lights it up.If you press the button three times quickly (Harder to do than it sounds) it will cycle through 15 different colour options, if you time it right (also not easy) by pressing the button at the right moment you can select the colour you like the best. When you are swishing and flicking it about if you press the button once it will make a sound like it has hit something and the light will flash, if you were duelling pressing this button would add to the theatre of the occasion. It feels well made and probably would even stand up to play with a hyperactive child, however it is such a nice thing I think it would make more sense to keep it as a display piece. The sounds are a little flaky but on balance I would say it is better with them on than off.I like the fact you get two spare grub screws included, so you have a couple of spares ready to use when you lose one, which you inevitably will.Happy to help.
