I bought these because flys irritate when in the garden, there dont seem to be many but they persist. We get the occasional horse fly which really are not pleasant if they manage to land. I also bought a sticky black ball horse fly trap and put them up at the same time, the ball gets hot in the sun and is supposed to attract horse flys.After two weeks the black ball has yet to get one horse fly, but the Redtop trap is already half full, about a litre of fly bodies, probably 10s of thousands. Each time I look there are about 20 flys near the trap entrance and maybe 50-100 flying around inside the trap including several large horseflys. During the day a fly enters every 20-30 seconds.. There are now a lot less annoying flys around the garden and I havent seen a horse fly since I put the trap up (execpt in the trap).The trap will be full in about a month, but I wonder if the fly population can sustain this rate. These are really effective traps, you need to be at least 2-3m away as they have an strong smell. If I have to get one per month from April - Oct it will be well worth it.

Anywhere there is Poo there are flies. These work. We buy 4 every year and hang them from trees around our farm. Only negative is the red top doesn't always click on properly and they are fiddly to fill sometimes. There is an option here to select scent. Does this mean does ti stick and attract flies? Yes. Does it mean do you like the smell? No!!!

simple to use, these gather tens of thousands of flies and bees no kidding. I use them year after year, I have tried lots of other products which don’t work nearly as well, I just can’t say enough good things about this invention !
