Fredrix 3501 Canvas Pads, 12 by 16-Inch

Excellent. Painting on these ...pads is just like painting on a canvas stretched on a frame. But so much cheaper and also cheaper to frame your work once finished. Its just like a thick canvas photo so you can use the frames bought off the shelf from hobby or home stores. Saves a fortune in framing costs. But please note it is not A3. If you were hoping to use a standard A3 mount for your picture the canvas will not quite fill the frame. It’s us just a half inch shirt of A3 in size.

Just started using this pad. Takes the water mixable oils I use fine. Although with the weight the oils creates makes the paper floppy. So care will have to be taken when moving the picture after it’s finished. Or just leave it on the board until dry. I haven’t done a lot of painting on it but seems to stand up to a bit of punishment, without breaking up. As I’m still finding out about oils and using them I find it’s fine for me. If your more professional perhaps not, but try it and see. Could be ok for working out a picture on before painting on a more substantial canvas

the size is just right for a reasonable canvas and the canvas is flexible so can be rolled up or laid flat for storage or stretched to be framed. very convenient and nice surface to paint on, Can feel a bit slippery at first so may need to be primed with acrylic paint first,

I use it for acrylic paint work and the canvass responds beautifully.

Brilliant quality and does not curl up when taken from the pad.

Took me a while to find a reasonable price for proper canvas pads. This one is good and came really quickly. Delighted. will order again.

Arrived very quickly. A bit disappointed on using, as the acrylics do not adhere very well overall, however thick and undiluted the paint. In patches too the paint simply won't adhere at all. Have used this type of canvas paper before with the same paint and brushes so know it's the canvas.

Very happy with the product but not use it yet. I am sure it will be just fine.

Great quality.

This canvas pad is great to work on with both acrylic and oil, but oil works best as it give you the ability to blend smoothly. Highly recommend this product. I wish I knew about these canvas pads when I first started to paint, as I struggled with some of the other canvas pads out there.
