Perfect size for small tapestry and pickup projects
These are well sanded and polished sticks that work well with my smaller tapestry loom or for pickup work on my rigid heddle loom for small pickup patterns that don't go the entire width of the project.

Exceeded expectations! Smooth. Perfect size for my 10" Card Weaving Loom
I was a bit concerned with the taper shape. The dimension wasn't made clear to me, but the shorter face is indeed fine so that it can act as a "Machete", or beater for my 10" weaving width for Band Loom and Card Weaving work. Several looms such as the Harrisville Size B, the Beka Beginner's Loom, the Heddler (Etsy) and others have a 10" capacity. This will work fine, and also as a pick up stick. The smoothness of the finish is also superb. Highly recommend.

Great size, smooth finish
This is the second item I have from this company. I got band shuttles first. This is a good size to use with my Schacht cricket. I wanted to try some pick up patterns. This shed stick has a sword shape, and the tapered side is nice. My local weaving shop only carries much longer swords.

Very nice Quality.
Very nicely made. The wood is smooth works well with a couple different size. Weaving looms definitely would recommend nice quality smooth wood works well.

A nice addition to my growing collection of weaving tools
Like all the Savina products I have ordered, this shed stick is beautiful as well as functional. Stained and very smooth, it slides across warp threads without snagging. It can be used either flat or on its side, the latter opening enough space to accommodate larger bobbins. This stick is a little different than others I have seen. It is wedge-shaped, the thickness graduating from 3/8” at the longest part along the top to about 1/8” along the shorter bottom edge. There is a rounded point near the top of each end. At nearly 13” long and approximately an inch wide, it is probably too large for use with smaller looms but should be very helpful on upright tapestry, rigid heddle, and other table looms as a shed stick, pickup stick, or batten.

Beautiful wood and a good beginner shed stick
I ordered this shed stick for my partner who is a Tapestry weaver. She gave it a try and provided the following feedback. The wood is beautiful and the stick is very smooth and well finished. It would be a good shed for a beginner, but the shape seems to make it difficult to hold a shed open when turned sideways due to the slightly triangular profile. I also notice that after it was out of the box and had sat on the counter for a couple of days it seems to have bowed ever so slightly. This was a bit of a surprise considering the nice finish on the wood. Not sure if this will have any impact on it's usability but time will tell. Even so its still a good shed for a beginner.

Beautiful, well crafted, but slippery
I love the beauty of this stick. It’s very obvious that it’s quality craftsmanship. Unfortunately, the finish on it is very slippery, which makes it difficult to keep in place when using my small heddle loom because the loom tilts towards my lap, causing a downward slide. Am not returning it because I’m hopeful that I will find other uses for it.

Great for Ceramic Studio!
I love to take products and repurpose them for different uses, so I know I'm not using this for weaving, but still wanted to leave a review in case it helped someone else think 'outside the box' and use it for something they need! This piece of wood feels great in the hand and is easy to hold. It's very sturdy, and smooth. I've been using it in my pottery studio when throwing taller cylinders and vases. The length and rounded ends are perfect for getting inside a narrow pot to help shape it from the inside.I just wipe it down with a damp sponge when I done and it's holding up well to far.Definitely recommend this to add to your pottery toolbox!
