Great book about a very good musicians' music. The book has the usual clear tab that you would expect from this range of books, and the cd offers lots of help by first giving you the song with the guitar part and then without to allow you to play along. This is a great way to learn at your own pace, take your time Santana's music is never easy but it is playable with practice. For the price you can't go wrong, add it to your library for any time reference

This was bought as a Christmas present. When I took the CD out of the sleeve, it was stuck in by what looks like glue. There is no way the CD will play. I've tried it in a CD player and a laptop. I've now got to find the person who bought the book and ask them to return it for me.

A book dedicated to playing some Santana, NICE! The backing tracks here are EXCELLENT!! The mix of songs is really nice and creative, as it does have some of his well known songs as well as a couple obscure ones. Santana's style is really really hard to grasp, as I think the key is "effortlessness," as in, what I'm getting, is his ability to just PLAY without really FORCING it. Which has really helped me develop my own personal style. For me, playing without "trying" is hard, as I feel I kinda force my way around a song. Saying something interesting muscially while making it sound awesome but also EASY is extremely hard. Practicing playing and listening Carlos' music really really teaches you to just let it ride. Playing with feeling and emotion, obviously, but doing so in a way where your movements and note selection aren't forced, and always sound natural and like they belong. I would recommend this play along book to anyone who would like to become a better guitar player and crank out to some Santana, a really soulful guitarist.

Jam with Carlos Santana ist meiner Meinung nach das beste Buch für Santana Fans, die eine E- Gitarre daheim haben und die original Noten des Meisters nachspielen wollen. Die größten Hits von Santana zum Nachspielen. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung. Bei diesem Werk ist man als solo Gitarrist sehr gut bedient. Habe Ebenfalls Songbooks von neueren Alben (Supernatural, Shamane) und muss sagen, dass diese beiden nicht durchgängig alleine mit der E- Gitarre zu bewältigen sind( z.B. Smooth--> partielle Läufe). Hierbei hingegen Spielt man meistens den gesamten Song nur mit seiner E- Gitarre( z.B. Samba Pa Ti oder auch Europa). Wer sich den ganzen Ärger mit schlechten, selbstgeschriebenen Internet Tabs sparen will sollte sich unbedingt dieses Werk anschaffen.
