Just installed, but early results are impressive!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Installed this water softener this weekend, replacing a different salt-free ION exchange system that wasn't softening anymore. The picture says it all. The test strip on the right is our very hard, untreated water. The test strip on the left is the same water after being treated. Pretty amazing. Will update if anything changes, but so far the build quality seems really good, the menu is easy to navigate, and the size is perfect for our limited space. My only nitpick is I wish it came with brass fittings. The plastic ones it comes with are pretty heavy duty, and I didn't have any issues with them, but at this price, brass fittings would be nice.

Super soft water, works exactly as represented!
We had a 16 year old water softener (major brand) that started having issues and we made several repairs but nothing fixed it. We did not want to spend lots of $$’s to replace. I did some research and we decided to try the iSpring model WCS50KG.For us the installation was fairly easy but we are very mechanical and the plumbing existed from the other softener we had. Getting the settings correct took 2 to 3 weeks. We wanted the same level of soft water (or softer) that we’ve had for 16 years. Everything is working correctly, water may be softer than the prior unit and it’s awesome. The unit comes set at maybe a midway point for water softness. We made adjustments and also set it up as if we have 5 people in the home. It’s been in service for about 5 to 6 weeks and we have had no issues. We also had some questions and reached out to the manufacturer. They were very responsive and helpful.Would definitely recommend this product.

Ispring WCS45kg is awesome
The unit was delivered on time. The customer technical supports are always available and knowledgeable to answer for any technical issues during installation, commissioning, and operation of the unit. The unit looks well built and made of good quality of materials. The interface panel is easy to navigate during the initial setup. I highly recommend this product.

Ignore PPM and TDS for hard water; use a chem test. Unit softens water from 10, to less than 1 gpg
I just deleted my prior view. I won't go into a whole lot of irrelevant detail, other than to post this update:1) My household water with the 50KG unit installed decreased water hardness from 10 gpg to less than 1 (almost unmeasurable) gpg. The unit works great!2) If the unit arrives and is not upright (mine came strapped on crate on it's side), refuse shipment (see the manual). It's possible to put it into service, but you may be struggling to fix the unit to do so.3) Test your water before and after the unit, using the "soap test", and/or a chemical test like the Hach 5b test, to be certain the unit is actually softening your water, as well as to provide proper gpg input of your hardwater, when you configure the unit's electronics. FORGET the TDS/PPM units advertised on Amazon for hard water testing. TDS and PPM won't tell you how your water had changed. It was accurate (i.e. 170 PPM) for testing the water hardness, but the "after" test said it was now 145PPM. Yet, the GPG dropped from about 10 gpg to less than 1 gpg (i.e. very soft water).4) Installation: Use ** BOTH ** iSpring's video and the directions when installing. Reason? There are elements included in one that are missed in the other, and vise-versa. It should be easy to install and configure, but it just isn't. There are multiple, confusing steps for starting the initial resin tank wash, and first manual regeneration, that I found ... problematic. Kind of like learning a series of dance steps. There's a "balloon" (i.e. vinyl spacer) that needs to be removed - don't forget that. This 50KG unit required three, 40 lb bags of (Morton) salt pellets to start. (Maybe a fourth would have fit, but 3 bags gets you over 2/3's full.)5) Installation #2). One question I never saw answered is what sort of supply thread fitting was required to mate your supply pipes to the 3/4" or 1" unit's poly connections. It's NPT. FEMALE NPT (i.e. FPT, FNPT).6) Customer Service: Their response was always prompt and cordial. John helped answer a few "newbie" questions, and Nick (Manager) helped out also. The only "ding" I had was that when I explained that the PPM test I was usnig showed only a 15% improvement, the response was the discussion about TDS vs PPM, vs hardness. When I put the question directly to them about what test I could use to actually verify the before/after results of this unit's install, they were vague. "Most people feel the difference" is true, but subjective. "Send it to a lab" might be valid, but when you're about 10 days short of the Amazon return deadline, sending off a sample and waiting for the analysis, isn't really the direction I was looking for. As I mentioned in #3 above, there are a couple of tests, one is free, the other is not, but it beats both the cost and timeline of a lab test. But again, I thought the customer service response was overall terrific. It's nice when you open a ticket or place a call, that someone in the USA actually answers the phone (not a recording), or when you escalate a ticket, a manager picks up the phone and calls back within about 20 minutes. Can't beat that.I'm not the "average customer". Most folks are looking for the type of verification that I was seeking. However, I've been burned before on water treatment units, and wanted to be certain that I was solving the problem with this unit.

Amazing Customer Service
This is an amazing unit, compact but yet powerful in its softening ability. Top it off with amazing customer service, I would highly recommend Nick and his team as well as this softener. We had a glitch initially and when I called the phone was answered immediately and the tech team was able to resolve the issue within minutes. Thank you Ispring!

Things happen but customer service was quick to fix
After an in-depth effort to look for a quality Whole Home Water softener I decided on the ISpring WCS45KG. The decision was based mostly on the fact that when I called the company in Georgia to ask a few questions, an actual person "John" answered on the first ring . He was knowledgeable and friendly. I then purchased the softener through Amazon. When I unpacked it I noticed a few parts loose in the bottom of the cabinet. After fishing out some of the items I found a plastic blow-up bag (flat) that I later learned should have been blown up to act as a packing cushion. Also some plastic stabilizing pieces were not connected and I was unable to retrieve the loose pieces. I contacted ISpring "Nick" and again was met with with a very knowledgeable and friendly person. Nick determined that something happened during delivery and was probably do to the Blow-up cushion not being blown up. Bottom line ISpring is sending me a new softener directly from the company and told me to keep the old one for parts or whatever. I can understand and accept that things can happen during transit. That issue was quickly overshadowed by the outstanding customer service of "JOHN" and "NICK" and even though I have not installed the new one, I am so happy with ISpring because of their refreshing personal, immediate and friendly help I would recommend ISpring to anyone in need of a softener.
