Great first welding helmet!
I just got assigned recently to be a welder at my job, and needed a helmet/mask for TIG welding. A helmet with auto darkening feature is what I wanted and found this one to be reasonably priced. It fits well with an adjustable headband with an adjustable swivel on both sides. The auto darkening feature has several settings and they work well as intended. It came with an extra set of lenses and was shipped fast. Overall, this helmet is very adequate for what I do and only time will tell about it's durability. Very happy with this purchase so far!

Comfortable and functional
Bought to do some home welding on a car repair. Liked the idea of auto dimming but haven't ever used one in the past. This worked great. If you weld every day I’m unsure how long it will last, but for the light use i need, this was a great value and works great.

Good inexpensive helmet
Nice, stylish helmet with a very good suspension system. The headband is comfortable, easy to adjust and stays put even when hot and sweaty. However, the darkening system is too sensitive for use outdoors or even in a brightly lit shop. I fixed mine by putting some painter's tape over the sensors.

Nice welding helmet for beginner welder for not a lot of money
I am a beginner welder. Not looking to make this my profession, just have the ability fix or weld should the need arise. With that in mind, I didn't want to spend a lot of money for something that will just sit on the shelf most of the time.Once I got the helmet adjusted (it does take a little playing with the straps to get the right fit and function), the helmet was comfortable, light, and I wasn't concerned about it slipping or hindering me when welding. The auto dimming shield is a must for anyone welding. You can see what you are doing up to the point you strike an arc, and the shield magically darkens without you realizing it did, and you can easily see the weld/puddle as you weld.I also ended up using the helmet as a face shield for grinding. I was being cheap and didn't want to buy a face shield, and this did the job for me fine. Some sparks did activate the auto-dimmer, but not long enough to be an issue. I would not want to use it for grinding all day, but for a few minutes here and there, it worked fine.I would buy this again without hesitation.

Light weight full featured helmet
I bought this as a replacement for a helmet I broke - this is not the helmet I use regularly (it’s a spare hood for folks wandering through the shop wanting to watch welders weld…) - however, I’m impressed with how light it is and how well the lens works - I don’t Have access to a testing lab, so I can’t speak to measurements holding the manufacturer to a specific set of claims. That said, it’s light weight, very comfortable and it worked well for some braising I did to test it out.The headband feels cheap but its easily adjusted and surprisingly comfortable - for short/ quick jobs, I think it’s very comfortable. I don’t know how it would feel all day. I don’t wear a hard hat, so I don’t know how this would work in that arrangement.I didn’t test this around other guys so I don’t know how it would handle flash from adjacent welders - based on the lens performance, so far, I think it would be fine….The lens is pretty good - at first, I thought it was too bright (I wear a dark auto lens) - the lens on this hood is much easier to use, more clear, and anecdotally, probably a better lens.Shape - to be honest, the hood feels cheap - but it is light weight and very comfortable. It seems durable enough to wear regularly. I cannot wear a respirator under this mask, but I can comfortably wear an m95 particulate mask under this hood without issue.I think this is a good starter mask - I wish the lens was a little bigger (the viewing window is a little smaller than my regular hood, but it’s not bad…) and the clarity is impressive.Overall, I’m happy with this hood.

Great helmet for the cost but battery dies out
Yes, welder has another welding helmet that has a changeable battery spend the extra money on that one but this helmet works really good. I’ve had a couple of them. The battery inside is not changeable and does die out eventually if you leave it in sunlight, so it charges you won’t have a problem.

Good price. Poor customer Service
I bought the highly review LY500 helmet as part of a suite of contraptions to begin my new hobby. The helmet was easy to figure out and adjust, but on my 2nd attempt at stick welding, it went black, and stayed black. I adjusted to sensitivity, delay and level on the helmet, all to no avail, so I decided it was time to try YesWelder Product Support.I found the website, signed up for an account and briefly described my issue on their online support. The following day, I rec'd a response with an apology for the issue, but before they could help me, they would need an "order number or email associated with your YESWELDER account. Or if you have purchased it through Amazon or eBay, let us know the order number, please so we can forward this to our affiliated customer support.".I replied to their email with a message of disappointment about being inconvenienced with a defective product (which of course, sometimes happens...) but being additionally inconvenienced by not being offered any solutions to try (since I am a first time user) or even simply being told to return the product to the place of purchase. My email was met with a reply from YesWelder Support doubling-down on needing the order # before offering any support (and we continued this ridiculous "dance" for another iteration or two before I simply replied that I was returning the product for a full refund since customer support couldn't help me).Didn't feel like I was requesting anything unreasonable since the product didn't seem to be working as designed, and I'm sure the customer support person was following guidelines set by her employer but still, not offering any suggestions that might encourage me to keep their product and purchase from them again in the future seems a bit misdirected for both the consumer and ultimately YesWelder.

Buena bonita y buen precio.
