Practical & Sturdy
Having previously used this Fulton umbrella extensively, I had no second thoughts before re-ordering it after having misplaced mine on the London Underground. The following are some of its features:Packaging & Price:- The packaging includes a transparent sheath for protection, with its handle nicely bubble wrapped.- It also comes with a protective outer sleeve made by Fulton which is black in color and has an approx. 5p sized emblem with "Fulton" written on it. This is to be used for everyday storage increasing the life of your umbrella.- The last time this was bought for £20 from a well known high street retailer so is actually cheaper to buy online and best of all no postage.Construction & Body:- This particular model comes with the neat finish solid wooden handle, which I personally prefer to the model with the black handle ( the one I lost on the underground ).- The handle is rounded which improves the grip in those windy and rainy days. I prefer this to other umbrellas that have straight handles due to the superior grip it provides.- There is a narrow band that uses velcro to tie the umbrella after every use.- This umbrella has stood the test of time having been 'everyday used' for well over 14 months in the London weather.Practicality & Use:- It has an open/close button using which the umbrella expands automatically if its closed, and vice versa. When it opens up it does need a slight stretch to ensure its opened up to its max limit and when it is used to close the umbrella, it only collapses and still needs to be pulled down to lock into position. It sounds like a lot of work but actually isn't and saves you fumbling around with the umbrella.- The button is pretty robust and has never once given me any issues. Please note however that the umbrella does need to be untied before pressing the open button.- It is a pretty good compromise between a full sized umbrella that spans wider but is a pain to carry around, and the pocket sized umbrella that fits into the coat pocket but does a poor job keeping one dry.- It is the perfect size for the working man using the public transport to get around and is small enough to fit nicely into my netbook bag.- It is pretty sturdy and has been through many a storms and has come through just fine.Tips for extending the life of ANY umbrella:- Always expand and leave the umbrella to dry naturally after every use - it will last you a life time.- Once dry, store in its protective sleeve to protect from inadvertent damage.

Gents compact automatic folding umbrella
This is an excellent well made gents automatic umbrella. It fits easily in my notebook PC case along with the other kit. The wooden handle is a bit on the small side but I have got used to this and this does contribute to the compact nature of the umbrella which is the most important selling feature for me. At the price this umbrella is great value and well worth considering if you need a new travelling umbrella going into the Autumn/Winter.

Great product but!!!
Love this umbrella but such a shame it has torn on the top where the struts are placed, shame as now small bits of water can get in

Nice brolly but hook handle a bit too small.
Not the lightest of brollys but well built and good opening mechanism. Closing seemes to jam a bit and needs some encouragement before the brolly collapses. The handle was a bit of. Let down as I expected the curve to be big enough to hook over my arm (as all other hook handle umbrellas have done in the past). This one however is only big enough to hook over my wrist which is not convenient as my watch gets in the way.

Good umbrella
Good umbrella but handle is a bit small to hold, especially if you have large hands.

Sturdy and has survived a few windy days
Sturdy and has survived a few windy days. Best Umbrella I have had in while. The button for open and close is very handy and smooth.TIP for windy days. Don't hold the umbrella straight up or in any direction other than that of the wind. Make sure that the top of the umbrella is facing the wind head on, like a shield for example and your umbrella will last much much longer be it fulton or a cheap £1 umbrella. If you hold it in any other direction during stong winds your umbrella will get damaged as the wind pushes it inside out!
