Intuitive design, good price and out of the box thinking.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have tried a number of items to hold my phone to the handlebars. From simple straps to the relatively popular Nite Ize handle bar strap. I like the Nite Ize, however, it's a bit bulky and undersized for my iphone 9+ (which the review was filmed on). I spotted this phone holder while perusing Bicycle Magazine. What I like is the fact that it's off the handlebar allowing the frame to flex before the frame of the phone absorbs the vibration. Also, the straps of this holder go around the corners vs. right across the phone face as the Nite Ize does.Positives:CompactGood constructionEase of installation (one tool)Elements of improvement:The straps could be adjustable and a bit thicker/tighter. The Samsung 9+ is quite large..so a smaller phone might have some issues. Like..say an old Iphone 4.I would like to see a metal back vs. plastic

Didn't last 100 miles.
I've had this item for less than two weeks. It has less than 100 miles on it. The central screw holding the device to the phone to the support came loose this morning . . . while I was travelling downhill on a busy road at about thirty miles per hour. The phone bounced into traffic. I am lucky that it wasn't run over . . . and that it didn't cause a greater accident. Thankfully I have a sturdy case on the phone and the phone wasn't damaged. The roads that I ride are no more or less rough than any typical street. The overall design seemed to work well enough, I could access the screen and buttons and the phone itself was firmly held in the straps . . . but the screw needs to be better secured. This could have been a major disaster.I was able to screw the bolt back in, but it will not fully tighten and the unit swings in circles. Furthermore, the rubber strap assembly has come loose and it will not stay affixed to the base.Based on these flaws, I cannot recommend this product.

Great, Solidly Made Product
I was hesitant to buy this product after reading other reviews, but wanted a holder mounted on my stem to cut down on items cluttering my handlebar and figured it was worth the cost to try it out. Other reviews had pointed out that the holder had disconnected due to the singe screw in the plate wiggling loose, so I figured I'd preempt that happening and removed the screw, added a thread around the screw and put it back on. I've had other screws on my bike shake loose and this tactic has worked to prevent it wiggling loose. I've found that I love the mount and enjoy the uncluttered handlebars even more. The screw is holding tight and the construction of the rest of the mount seems solid.

Great phone holder
The first time I used this phone holder, the base separated and my phone fell onto the pavement. All I did was put Loctite on the threads of the screw that hold the two together and I have had no issues since. I have had this phone holder on my road bike and full suspension mt. bike for a year now and absolutely love it. It is very easy to install and remove your phone, it does not obscure the phone's screen and it holds it very securely. I am getting ready to order another one for my hardtail mt. bike. I highly recommend this phone holder. Just remember to put Loctite on the screws when you assemble it.

Do not purchase.
I thought this would be the perfect phone holder for my phone. Out of the 4 I purchased 3 have broken. One was the rubber bands which hold the phone in place. The second time it broke off on the metal mount in the shaft. My phone bounce down the road. The third time also broke off by the metal shaft again once again the phone bounced down the road. Lucky there wasn’t a car behind at the time the phone fell. After 3 broken holders a can not recommend this product to anyone who likes their phone.

Okay for a smooth road.
Works ok for a road bike but I don't recommend using on a cross bike or mountain bike. The bands on the mount are not strong enough to keep my phone tightly secured. Everytime I go over a bump or rough surface my phone bounces around. I'm afraid my phone would bounce off if I bike on a rougher road. I'm still deciding if I should return this mount to continue using it.

Broke while installing
First I have a previous version of this product on my "drop bar" road bike and have been happy with it. I bought this particular version of the product to install on my wife's bike, a straight bar configuration. Due to the steep angle of the stem I could not engage the mounting screw. With the version I have, I was able to gently bend the arms, to achieve the angle I wanted. When I applied a little pressure on the arms to bend them, both arms snapped off. Obviously the material used in the "metal" arms on this version, are more brittle. This is a serious design flaw in this product. If your handlebar stem is not at an acute angle, it may work. Frankly, a minor collision would probably break it. Amazon was nice enough to take the produce back and give me a refund.

It holds S10 with case and easy to install. Fits cannondale Si bike.
Although I just got it, I cant give it 4 stars yet. I have a cannondale SI bike. It was very easy to Install. All you need is an Allen wrench. I have a Samsumg S10 phone. My phone fit fine. I like the fact that it sits directly in the middle of bike, not taking handle bar space. I've just riddin on the street and the phone hasn't fallen out of holder. It was exactly what I wanted.Update - I've been riding with this phone holder for miles on the roads and haven't had a problem. It fits perfectly on the bike and holds it in place. Would definitely purchase again for another bike.
