LifeProof NÜÜD Series Waterproof Case for iPhone 8 Plus (ONLY) - Retail Packaging - Morning Glory (WHINSOME Orchid/Smoky Grape)

Recieved it in the factory packaging with the necessary tools to open the case when needed . Came with the instructions and cleaning cloth . I bought it for my iphone 8 plus and my only dislikes are the tab on the case for the silent switch is a little finicky and hard to get lined up & you have to mash the buttons hard also not a fan of it being screen protector less but if you buy a thin plastic one it will fit perfect with the case . Other than that it's a very well built case and when water tested I left my phone in the case under water for 10 minutes and it was dry on the inside .

I’ve used lifeproof Nuud cases on the last three models of iPhones I have had, and I’ve been really happy with them to this point. So, naturally upon getting my iPhone 8 plus the first thing I bought was this case.Before placing the case on the phone I did the water submersion test as suggested by lifeproof, and it worked as advertised. Upon putting the phone in the case I immediately noticed the incredibly bulkiness it produced. The fact that this is the first time I’ve used the plus size version of the iPhone certainly played into this, but the construction of the lifeproof case definitely added to that.With my past experiences with lifeproof I expected this case to be the same, so you can imagine my disappointment when I took this case into the water for the first time and found the case filled with water. I’ve always purchased the lifeproof cases for their waterproof abilities to use them for filming in shallow depths of water. The case never went below 2 feet in depth, so it certainly was not outside the protection limits. The fact that the phone itself has water resistant capabilities is the only reason I didn’t end up with no camera for the remainder of my trip.That said, I chose to give this case a three star raiting based on the protection it offered the phone upon me dropping it. The drop occurred after the water incident, so that did not play into the lack of water tight abilities.I have been happy with past lifeproof cases which has given me cause to be lenient in my review. However, if you are buying this case soley for its waterproof capabilities be cautious because mine failed even after it passed the manufacturer’s suggested water test before I placed the phone in it.

UPDATE 5.10.19After the rubber piece came out, the rubber film over the home button also ripped. I contacted their customer service for a warranty replacement and they sent one out right away, I just had to pay the $5-ish dollar shipping fee. Since receiving that new case mid February 2019, that case has cracked upon a drop (the plastic casing part on the front of the phone and the cover on the charging port is bent and won’t snap closed. I contacted customer service for another warranty claim and they’re sending another out for just the cost of shipping, which is about $7-ish this time. Customer service has been great, but I’d rather just have a case that doesn’t fall apart.ORIGINAL:This is a good, durable case. Has protected my phone a lot, however, the little rubber piece that goes into the bottom to protect the seal where you charge the phone is removable. I bought this because my daughter kept throwing my phone in the pool. It does work great, even for durability if dropped on the ground. I only knocked it down one star because that rubber piece (which is extremely important) does come out AND people complain about not being able to hear me very well on the phone.

I recently bought a red iPhone 8 Plus and wanted to show off the attractive color without a risk of damage.Pros: This is a hefty case and it feels like it can withstand a drop, but it is still thin enough to where there is no problem with wireless charging. I also took pictures in a pool and there was no moisture in the case. Unlike many other Lifeproof cases, you can actually touch the screen directly.Cons: Putting it on and taking it off is a chore but it’s nesscecary to ensure a seal against water. I like glass privacy screens and I had to break it to accommodate for the case. The door to access the charging port feels like it can easily break, however I don’t use it. Fingerprints can be conspicuous.

This case is great. I have had my phone almost two years it still looks brand new. I just replaced the case due to the clear portion of the case having scratches and the cushion edges breaking away from the phone. I dropped it so much that the corners started coming away first.I didn’t like the bulky otter box so I tried this case. Slim neat and very durable. I am a handyman so you can imagine the punishment this case/and phone has endured. Very good decision to purchase this case. Almost forgot it does carry a limited lifetime warranty.

The unit cracked on the back (bottom left) of the case. The crack is internal and does not affect “water proof” in any way.This was a direct hit to concrete after it slid out of my breast pocket while bending over to tie my shoe. (3 ft drop maybe?)While I do enjoy the direct contact to the glass of the iPhone, but I would have to rate it 4 since the case is doing its job to protect the expensive iPhone. (IPhone 8 plus is expensive in my aspect of things)

Good quality case, nice colors, waterproof for sure, as we dipped our phone in the pool and it's still working fine. What I found a bit difficult was to open the case with the key that comes with it, but in the end I managed. Also, quality of sound from voice messages gets a bit distorted and even with the volume set to high, it can get a bit difficult to hear anything if your at the mall, or driving.... But overall it's a good case. Enjoying it a lot.

Bought this for my iPhone 8 Plus and have since upgraded. I do not know if it was water resistant as I did not have it that long to try. Plus it did not snap close completely in one corner so I do not think I would really want to test out that theory.

I bought this for my husband because he’s super hard on his phones since he works in construction. We were under the impression the case completely covered the phone, but it doesn’t. Your screen portion is left exposed. The front part of the case doesn’t have a screen , it’s just the bumper guard part. So if you have any cracks or get a crack in your screen, this case won’t work. You’re better with an otterBox

I don’t like the fact that there’s no screen protector — your screen is just exposed to everything. This case doesn’t make the iPhone 8 Plus waterproof — it’s ALREADY IPX7 rated — so I wanted all-around protection. I also find that adjusting the volume and power buttons requires significant pressure.

I thought this case that is supposed to be a life proof. The day after I put it on my phone, I dropped it in my screen smashed. Now three weeks later, the back of my phone is smashed. Not worth the money because it doesn’t work.

Unfortunately it appears I've been shipped as case that was repackaged as new, everything was in the case as expected however it's obvious that it has been used. There are small marks were someone has opened the case not using the supplied tool and damaged it. The case also creaks. If I'd paid $20 this would be fine but its pretty poor considering it was $80.

I am yet to find a case as good as this one. Between my toddler, my natural talent to drop everything, this case has survived it all. Exept mosquito spray.. got a bit of discolouration going where the spray landed on it..
