The construction is solid heavy duty steel and thick screws. When assembled there is a bit of give here and there but nothing that would cause any concerns whatsoever. Build time took 2 hours with the tools provided. All the nuts and bolts were in neat separated packaging, so nothing to loose in the build mess. The instructions were fine to follow, the only tricky bit was getting head around the pulley system but it's self explanatory once you see the bits. Swapping the seat from assist mode to leg raises position takes about 1 min so no bother at all. Changing the level of pulley assist is a little bit fiddly but really easy. The device is well constructed and seems to be well designed as well. While a weld could fail ‘catastrophically’ you’re most likely to see a ‘gradual’ failure over time.
