TetraPond Pond Spitter Decoration and Pond Aerator

I bought one and it was broken. I sent it back and ordered another and it came in mint condition.It's a great accent feature to a pond. My pond feature has over a dozen frogs that call it home. The real kind! Our friends who have kids love to bring them over and let them spot the frogs and the tadpoles. So this only made sense to add as a accent.Set up is easy. Just make sure you have a strong enough pump supplying it or a good filtration system. As with all ponds, the water can get sediment and back up your pump if the right filter and/or pump isn't used or cleaned regularly. Then the frog ends up being more of a drooler than a spitter.If you've got a strong enough pump, this is the way to go and it will help your water to stay filtered and looking it's best!

Frog spits water in a small pond and keeps water moving to keep duckweed down. Realistic looking, not cutsie! Small water pump purchased separately connects easily for easy startup. Great addition to our small pond.

I ordered the frog and he came in perfect condition. I did think it odd that it came packed in solid Styrofoam (a good thing) but that was inside a thin clear plastic bag. I expected a box with lots of frog graphics on every side. No matter. The frog looks very nice, is just as described and arrived in good shape.I do not use a pump with my frog. Rather, I ran a water line to my waterfall, hooked up an automatic float valve down in the water storage well and ran a tube from the valve to the frog. Whenever the water level in my waterfalls well gets low the frog spits to fill it back up. So, his spitting is random rather than constant.Be aware that the frog is extremely fragile. Parts of his skin are about three sixteenths of an inch thick and parts are nearly paper thin. I discovered this when I broke him while setting him up. He dropped about a foot and hit a rock. This punched a hole in his left rear. It didn’t just break a piece out. I now had a big hole in my frog and a bunch of broken shards some of which I could not find as they fell into the running waterfall. Oh well, I’ve ordered a replacement which I will be more careful with. Meanwhile, the broken frog still works and spits to add water whenever necessary.The frog is a nice little spitter. Just be careful with him.

This is a nice piece and handled with just a bit of care, there is no issue with durability. I believe the price is excessive for the material, but I am perfectly pleased with the appearance of the frog at the edge of my pond.

She couldn’t compete between the dog and UPS. She lasted about 12 hours from the time I hooked her up. My dog knocked her over on the way to get a bone from the UPS guy whom she loves. Both wings and a part of her arm broke in 1 episode. If you don’t have a dog. She is great! The base is nicely weighted. Idk how long she will last in the sun with how easily she broke bring side swipped. That’s something to keep in mind.

It was smaller than I thought but it works well

We truly love the way she looks. She brings in a magical sense of a summer night with fireflies and the sound of the frogs croaking in the distance. But, she leaks and I can’t stop the leak do she just sits there and looks serene. A lot of money for us to just have a non working fairy but what else can we do? Gluing is not an option because when the tubing gets clogged up you have to be able to disconnect to run water through. Others seem to have had better luck so I won’t be harsh on my review.
